I agree, we need to set down ASAP to establish the parameters of a Glow League. I'm okay with meeting to discuss anytime other than 7am to 4pm on weekdays, or during a K-State FB or BB game. :-)

Regarding me needing a break, I do not plan to be the League Administrator of the Glow League. I will still be the Administrator of the Winter Points & Bag Tag League, which will provide me with plenty of winter data entry entertainment... LOL!

In other words, we'll be looking for a Glow League Administrator or Co-Administrators.

We need to get together off the course and talk about this and glow league soon.
I think Rick deserves a short break though. It's a lot of work putting in the sores every week.
Good job Rick!

When do we start playing the fall league? And what time?

Sorry I have not yet posted last nights league results. I will get that done tomorrow night.

Damen,
You should post this info on the Talk tab of the DFOK club page. A ton more people "follow" that permanent page than this single season page.

Jon, as I understand it from the discgolfscene site administrator, the scores in the little green boxes are the differences between (your) posted score and the average score for that specific course. In other words, it's showing your score relative to the other scores (that have been posted on discgolfscene) for that course.

The forecast for sunday is 85 and no chances of rain. Should be a beautiful day! There will be payouts for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in advanced, intermediate, and beginner with the largest payout in advanced. We have more prizes for ring of fire than there is room on here to list. Come out and play the best FREE tournament in the state! I am trying to work on getting this on the KDGA tour for next year and would love to see 30 - 40 in the tournament this year. Help us out, chances are you'll go home with some type of prize.

I think it's your average for that month on that course or something like that. I'm still planning on going for sure

Can anyone explain to me how the little numbers under posted scores work, exactly? I take it they have something to do with averages, but the numbers don't follow any pattern I can discern.

I am still thinking about Miltonvale. Anyone else? The more the merrier....

For what it's worth, I believe Kirk is referring to "handicap" appropriately for this discussion. In ball golf, most courses assign a handicap index for each hole (essentially ranking them in terms of difficulty):

"The hole identified as "1" on the handicap line has been rated the hole where a golfer is most likely to need a stroke in competition against a better golfer. The hole identified as "2" on the handicap line is the second-most likely hole whe ... more

Rick said: "Not to mention I've made some serious "get into trouble" decisions lately on #1 & #2..."

Ah, but user error doesn't constitute hole difficulty.... :-)

Clarification: Hole #9, I should probably be calling them legit birdie opportunities. (but haven't made my putts).

After playing tonight's round, I realize I need to revise my earlier rankings... but I'm too lazy to...
but if I did, here's what would happen.
#9. I would move as even easier because I've finally found a killer driver for that hole (have had a lot of birdie shots lately).
#3. I would move as more difficult because I can't seem to figure out the summer breezes of that fairway.
#6R. I would move as easier because I've been making par on that hole a lot lately.

Not to mention I've made some serious "get into trouble" decisions lately on #1 & #2...

I think there is a need for holes of all difficulty levels. There is a special kind of pressure on you when playing birdie holes: you know you've got to make 2 to keep pace with others, and a bogey is a disaster. There are no holes at Warner where you can't get into trouble.

As you mentioned, Rick, I think that wind and weather play a huge role. #3 and #6 are particularly rough with a strong wind in your face, but not nearly as hard on a calm day. An errant tee shot turns some of t ... more

Okay here goes. I went with my confidence in scoring a 3 on these holes.
With that said though, I seem to have some huge swings on these...
Thus I entered the Intermediate Division :-)

1 = TOUGHEST
1. Hole 5 Long
2. Hole 5 Short
3. Hole 2 Long
4. Hole 2 Short
5. Hole 8
6. Hole 4 Left
7. Hole 6 Left
8. Hole 6 Right
9. Hole 1
10. Hole 4 Right
11. Hole 9
12. Hole 3
13. Hole 7 Left
14. Hole 7 Right
15 = EASIEST

By the way, as a course co-designer this was really tough to admit ... more

My list is similar to both yours, but a little different. I am basing it on how hard I think the holes are to make a par 3 or better on. It might be interesting to do a different list on how hard they are to birdie.

1. 2 long
2. 5 long
3. 9 long
4. 5 short
5. 6 right
6. 1
7. 3
8. 4 left
9. 6 left
10. 9 short
11. 2 short
12. 7 right
13. 4 right
14. 8
15. 7 left

No. 5 should be 6 right instead of 7 right.

Adam, our top 5 is similar but ai dont see 6rightthe on your list.
