2012-2013 DFOK Bag Tag League

High temperature of the day was 92 degrees, wind speeds 29mph, gusts 37 mph.

High temp of the day at 48 degrees, wind gusts peaking at 37 mph, made for an interesting round. A total of 12 hearty souls were in attendance.

Warm day with plenty of sunshine, high temp. of 57 degrees. The afternoon & early evening was breezy, wind gusts up to 24 mile per hour. (via NOAA)

Temps in the mid 50's, the usual breezy conditions on top the Warner hillside, plus some major shake-ups in tag numbers, made for an interesting round.

A high of 51 degrees in early March felt really nice. A strong group of 17 players were in attendance to kick off the Spring part of the season.

Today's weather, 49degree winter day. Moderate mixed direction winds. The course was rather muddy, plus still snowy in the shaded & rocky areas.

Excellent weather for mid-February, 68 degrees & light southwest breeze, made for a very busy day on the course!

Great weather for late November at partially sunny and 64 degrees. Although a bit too breezy for disc golf, including 35 mph gusts.

Great fall weather for the last official Warner Wednesday of the **summer schedule**, 67 degrees and no wind to speak of. Due to the ever decreasing daylight in the fall months, holes #4, #5, #6, #7 & #8 were not played on the second loop (scored as 3's).

Yes it was a great summer of Warner Wednesday's, however, we're not done. This bag tag league is simply moving to Sunday's through the winter months.

So, write it on your calendar, Bag Tag league events will be held on the 1st & 3rd Sunday's of each month starting on November 18th.

Another official league event on another classic fall weather evening.
Multiple holes were not played, due to the limited daylight conditions, thus people scored automatic 3's. The holes skipped were once through #1, #2, #5 & #6.

Also of note, Thad Pultz decided to switch out his Bag Tag status from Numbered to Casual (non-numbered), thus is shown with a DNF (999). Rick received a DNF (999) because he was taking photos of league to use in upcoming disc golf presentation.

This week's official Warner Wednesday league night fell on a cool and windy fall evening. High temp. for the day was 63 degrees & wind gusts of 40 mph.

Weather conditions for tonight's league round included high temps of 80 degree, plus 28 mph gusts. With the guarantee of a much earlier sunset each week, hole #7 was not played either round.

Following the Ft. Riley Big Red One League, Adam J., Jon, Dakota & Damen stayed to play a redemption round and for tags. Dakota won and kept tag #1.

BRO league round at Moon Lake!

Results from the Official Warner Wednesday league night. The weather conditions were approx. 88 degrees & 61 percent humidity at the start. Then the heavy rain & lightning rolled in with about 6 holes left to play...

Due to the continued rainfall as players completed their rounds, a new tie breaker option was created tonight. All ties were settled by throwing mini-marker discs, under the shelter structure, CTP style at designated marker flags.

High heat & humidity with no breeze made for a sticky league night, 97 degrees & 71% humidity.

A total of 21 league members were in attendance, consisting of 2 non-numbered bag tag members, plus 19 numbered bag tag members. One player joined the league tonight, Joey Dean, who participated in last years league. Welcome back Joey!

Tonight's weather provided a little extra breeze to push the discs around, plus some typical late August heat of 96 degrees.

Tonight's weather did not disappoint, that is if you like warm & humid weather (95 degrees & 90% humidity). Some were effected more than others (ha ha). As expected, there was a spike in attendance for this week's official Bag Tag League round. A total of 23 league members were in attendance, consisting of 2 non-numbered bag tag members, plus 21 numbered bag tag members. This week, a total of six joined the 2012-2013 Bag Tag league tonight. Some were new, some were renewals from last season. Welcome aboard Caleb, Matt, Ben, Mitch, Neil, & Tim.

Luckily the river was very low, so two OB discs were retrieved from the water (with a Golden Retriever).
We had to pick up the pace down the stretch to avoid finishing in total darkness. It didn't exactly work...

The tie was broken by using the start of the next round played on the road trip. Rader won it on hole #2 at Oak Park in Wichita.

Another sizzling hot night of disc golf league action with the reported temp. at tee time (via weather bug) at 107 degrees. The group briefly discussed only playing 9 holes due to the heat, however there was very little interest in cutting the standard round back to only 9 holes.
A strong showing of a Fanatics were present despite the heat. A total of 10 league members were in attendance consisting of 1 non-numbered bag tag member plus, 9 numbered bag tag members. No new members joined this week.

First BRO league at Moon Lake, had a good turnout. There were two others that played, but without tags. I won't be updating the BRO League page, as I don't have the admin rights to change the fields I need to. We'll get that back up and running here soon. Great round with great people, hope everyone liked the new course!

Tonight's round started off very hot, +100 degrees, then cooled considerable due to some passing rain showers. The evening sky was full of lightning that only fanatics of disc golf would play under. Might have been dangerous...
Tonight's round included 11 competitors, 9 with numbered tags and 2 with non-numbered tags. In attendance tonight, for the first time this season, was local player Ken Braeger. Welcome back Ken!

Predictably warm July evening in Manhattan. Temp. at tee time of 95 degrees, with a slight breeze as the evening progressed.

A total of 15 players were in attendance (w/ 13 numbers tags & 2 casual tags). By the end of 18 holes 5 players were tied with a 56, plus two players tied with a 58.

Two new players signed up for this season at tonight's round. Welcome back aboard Kevin Clark & Bob Saber.

Rather than canceling the usual Wednesday evening round, on this Independence Day the official league round was moved to 9am. A total of 15 players were in attendance (w/ 14 Numbered tags & 1 Casual tag).
Three regular members signed-up to compete again this year by attending today, plus one entirely new player also joined the league today.

First DFOK Bag Tag League night of the season was one to remember. The temperature at the start of the round was 103 degrees, not including the heat index.

A total of fourteen players were in attendance for this opening night of the 2012-2013 Bag Tag season. The scoring was very "hot" at the top of the board with a total of four players tied at 50. Also of note, more than half of the field was involved in ties after 18 holes, thus a lot of positions came down to a single throw tie breaker.

All in all, a solid start to the DFOK Bag Tag season!
