This is one of the most popular leagues in Wisconsin on one of the easiest courses around. A long standing tradition of Wednesday Night Leagues have been going on at Valley View Park for over a decade and 2011 will be no different. This league can be competitive but it is more about learning the game, the rules, other players, and getting a feel for organized disc golf. Beginners, younger players, and women are all especially encouraged to come and participate. We have unique weekly contests ...

League Action is Heating Up (Literally)
What did Nelly once rap? "It's gettin' hot in herre..." errr something like that. Well, tonight is in fact going to be hot at the course but that won't stop us from having a great time and then getting some much needed refreshments at our sponsor's, BW3s.

Last week we didn't have an ace so that money will carry over. We did almost see a 'perfect round' by league director, Terry Miller. Terry deuced his first 15 holes but when he came up about 20 feet short on little hole 16, he was too aggressive and hit off the top of the chains. Alas, he got 17 and 18 and finished with a -17 on the round.

Tonight will be hot but we will only have 2 discs to choose from so the rounds will move even faster than normal. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there! Let's see who will shoot the hottest scores of the night!
Double Points Night Complete
Perfect weather conditions FINALLY showed up for a night of league. Plenty of people took advantage of it and scored quite well. The points races continue to be close in each division. We are only at the half way point for the league so don't feel like anything is set in stone just yet. Come on out and take down those league leaders!

July 6th was also had a unique clearing of the ace pool (of $37). League Director, Terry Miller, was taunting good friend, Jonny V about how he was going to ace their next hole, hole 9. After taking 10 to 1 odds, Terry threw it directly into the chains for the ace. However, that was only half of it because stepping up next was Jonny V who also threw it into the heart of the chains for the BACK 2 BACK ACES! Card mates, Brad Weber and Mike Harrington both made great putts for deuces and the group walked off with a total foursome score of 6 on the hole. That's 6 under for the group on a single hole!

See everyone on Wednesday, July 13th!
Our Basket is Back!
We are glad to see that hole 15 has been returned. It is unfortunate that we had to go without it for any length of time but needless to say, we are glad to have it back. The parks department is anxious to work with us for other course improvements and they have already put down some wood chips on the course. We have it good with the New Berlin Parks Department and I know all of our league members will do everything in our power to keep it that way.

There is the threat of rain tonight (I know, what's new right?) but even if we do get any - I think it will be very light and scattered. Come on out and get every point you can because you know you'll have to miss some other week for some other obligation so coming every week possible is in your best interest.

Bring a mini tonight - we will be going out randomly! Yes, that means you could get matched up with superstars like Jonny V, or Spring League Champion, Brad Weber. Dave Olson has jumped into disc golf and is clearly no slump either so regardless of whomever is in your group tonight - make sure you learn something from them. It might be what you SHOULD do to improve your game or maybe it's event something you SHOULDN'T do. Either way - learn something and have fun!

Spassland Leagues run by Matt Atherton will start up in Germantown on Thursday night. Just throwing that out there!

See you tonight!
Game On ...
Here we are folks - just 20 hours away from the start of the 2011 Summer Session at Valley View. We had less than awesome weather for many weeks during the spring session but I know everyone is ready to step up their game, reload that bag, and get ready to rumble at Valley View come Wednesday Night(s).

BW3's will again be a sponsor of ours providing occasional gift certificates and a great atmosphere for us to enjoy after each battle Wednesday night.

On an all-too-pathetic-note ... many of you heard how hole 15 was STOLEN sometime after last Wednesday night's league but before Thursday morning. The course will likely get pulled for some period of time which should put the pressure on the losers that took it. We simply want it returned, no questions asked and we'll just move on. If you even think that you might know of a guy who knows a guy who thinks he knows a guy that was involved with it - just send the message out that he just needs to be returned. We'll find a way to continue league play out there but I can't promise all of the baskets will stay in all of the time when we aren't out there playing leagues. Let's get our basket back.

Trophies from Spring Session are ORDERED and I really hope they arrive in time for the 2nd week of league. If you know you won't be making it out to anymore leagues (which I doubt) let me know and I can send your trophy out to you. (Assuming you placed very high up in the standings in the spring).

Thanks!
