Thanks To All

Just wanted to thank everyone who came out today to Willow for Double Points.....Congrats to Taggart Anderson and Jeff Frelany for pulling out the win at -17......CTP winners were Dave Lassen hole #10 for $32.00,Josh Frisinger hole #18 for $32.00 and Gary Whitehouse hole #23 for $32.00.Also a BIG thanks to the Summer Saturday`s league from Independence Lake for coming out and making this a special day.

SATURDAY DOUBLE POINTS!....Come and get em......

Hope to see everyone out this Saturday May 18th at Willow Metro Park at 12:00pm.The Summer Saturdays League from Independence Lake will be joining us for the day.They will also be bringing their ace pool to sweeten the pot which would cost an extra $2.00.This week the format will be SHORT TEES 24 holes.

5-4-13 Round Even Longs Odds Short

This week we will be shooting even longs odds short."Next Week" we will be traveling to "Independence Lake" to shoot with Summer Saturdays league and combine the ace pools.Be best if we had a few cars to carpool together and save on gas.LMK if anyone wants to ride with me I have 3 open seats available.

Shorts......change partner every 6 holes

Would like to try a different format,at the start of the round draw partners as normal,after 6 holes flip for a different partner in the group of 4 shoot 6 holes flip again etc........possible you could have the same partner the whole way but unlikely........let me know what everyone thinks.Can only try this if we get 8,12,16,20,24 people just a thought........

Groups would be sent out in the order they were drawn.......first 4 people 1st group etc.........this would prevent any super-groups from being together.....

How would payouts go??

Payouts would be the same as if there were teams.Obviously it will be a richer payout for a singles format.If there were 12 people for example the payout would be $30,$20,$10 and the points would also reflect 1st place 12 points,second place 11 points etc......just a thought wanted to try something different

420 Round

Congrats to Harvey for hitting hole 11 from the longs for 115 dollars.Also congrats to Bill and Brian for pulling out the win.Thanks to everyone for coming out and playing the longs.Definitely made for a tough round.CTP winners hole 8 Dave Lassen $15.00,Hole 19 Gabe Cadorin $15.00,and hole 20 Coach for $15.00.

Willow Long Tees 4-20-13

We will be on the rotation of throwing from the longs this week.Next week shorts then mixed evens then mixed odds.We will be the highlighted league of the week on Saturday May 18th double points.We will be setting up a special layout for this day stay tuned for updates........

Odds Mixed Tees

Some Feedback

Just wanted to get some opinions on some different formats for league play.
1)Play a normal league round where instead of taking best shot on a doubles team you would take the worst shot playing the same format as regular doubles.
2)Play a round where each player would be CALI playing the normal format of 1 extra shot per hole either a drive ,an up shot or putt.
Just an idea trying to get some opinions...........

Just a thought.....just wanted to make it a little tougher and it would make for a more challenging round plus there probly wont be teams shooting -20 for 24 holes.

Quiet down Shaffer, I can hear you laughing from hear, and the radio's on. Idea #3- Pro/Am teams. Based on PDGA rating or past NM league standings, with a 'bubble' field of players. It's typically more fair for matching up. You get some Pro/Am teams, some bubble teams. Evens out the odds for Ams. I ... more

Now that sounds like a fun 1-time deal..set up a sheet to give each card, with rules for each hole. Hole 1- throw opposite hand, Hole 2- can only use a mini, etc.

Dont want to split up pros and ams just wanted to try a different format so that everyone could have a different round of play........Like I said just a thought nothing set in stone.......

I really like the pro/am idea. I played the whole winter and got paired with same people many times but hardly ever pros. I have always thought worst shot would be cool thats just good practice for everyone.The cali idea is also sweet, as i have played a league round like that before. Over all i like worst shot and the pro/am idea. i think both would be educational.

Right now we are on the rotation of playing mixed tees odds long and evens shorts,after this week we can maybe try one of the most suggested formats by popular demand........if there is enough response to the suggestions.......thanks for the input.We just want to make it a different disc golf experience every time.....change it up a little.

Worse shot is better for a fun round with a few players who are all some what equal. A beginner would feel humiliated with every upshot being thrown from their drive. I would only do that with a small turnout. Cali is cool but it can take quite a bit longer, I'd send people out in 3somes. Pro ... more

i dont know about worst shot at willow. some holes like 4 can be a royal pain and kill the score if you get a bad enough shot

More Holes Again..........

Going to set up more holes again 5 for sure maybe 6.This time they will be set up in the field by hole 15 and 16.No pads and want to make some tough shots.Going out early around 9:30 or 10:00 to install the extras with Coach.Feel free to come out and give some input on the basket location.
