Jon Tveite 58 - Long and Short pins, 18 holes "This was a wild one. I grabbed 8 discs and rode my bike to Warner, where I threw my Wedge into the ground about 40' short of the tree line on #1. From there I somehow managed to get a Roc 12' past the basket to save par. #2 was not my friend (2 bogeys), but I birdied #4 twice. I had a rare bird on #6 thanks to a 70-75' anhyzer putt, and followed up with a drop-in deuce on #7. But then I cranked tee shots into the woods on #8 & #9, the latter leading to a triple-bogey due to a careless upshot and putt. I had more trouble on #5 & #6 of an otherwise unremarkable second nine."Friday, June 7, 2013

Jon Tveite 28 - Long pins, 9 holes "Went out with a casual (i.e. not a disc golf fanatic) friend. Great night, again -- not a bit of wind I could detect. I wasn't throwing that well, but putting very well. I don't think I missed anything inside 30', except a par putt on #6 that was obscured by trees. Jon Tveite 54 - Long and Short pins, 18 holes "I decided that, in hopes of breaking through my fog of mediocrity, I would play with ten discs I hadn't thrown much lately, if at all. I did a little better, and it was fun, anyway (I am liking my new Millennium Orion LS and Omega).
I birdied #7 & #8 each time. Other than that, threes, with couple bogeys and a double on #2, where my approach hit the base of a tree near the basket and rolled past my feet to the bottom of the hill. And I missed an easy birdie putt on it the first try. On #5, hit the basket on 30-40' birdie tries both times. So, it was a decent round, but not exactly the break-through I was looking for."Tuesday, May 7, 2013

Jon Tveite 58 - Long and Short pins, 18 holes "I was hoping to play doubles but couldn't make it in time, so I went to practice at Warner instead. My play was exactly what it has been lately: solidly mediocre. I'm not making very many good shots, mostly average ones with a few bad ones mixed in. #2 was my nemesis: I hit trees on the left with both drives, the first of which rolled a good way down the drainage ravine on the right, while the other kicked farther left. Aside from the drives on #4 & #7 that led to easy birdies, my best shots were long approaches after unimpressive tee shots. Jon Tveite 51 - Long and Short pins, 18 holes "Hadn't played Warner for so long I had to brave the mud and get 18 in. I started out hot, with 5 birdies on the first 8 holes, but finished in disappointing fashion. Besides missing easy putts for birdie on #6 (first time) and #8 (second time), I bogeyed #5 and #6 for no particularly good reason (mediocre drives followed by terrible approaches), and to top it off, I three-putted my last hole, short #9, after a pretty good drive left me with a 30-35' birdie chance. I've never had 7 birdies in a round before, and I should have had 9-10, but the 4 bogeys were totally uncalled for and cost me a personal best. "Friday, March 8, 2013
