This course is obviously a perk on paper to attract students to the university. In reality, they took an extra field they had, mowed it with a tractor and put up some goals and rubberized tee mats. The tee mats are a hazard when wet, and its always wet up here, so don't break your neck or ankles... The terrain is poorly mowed and the ground is not level anywhere. This course is obviously a perk on paper to attract students to the university. In reality, they took an extra field they had, mowed it with a tractor and put up some goals and rubberized tee mats.
The tee mats are a hazard when wet, and its always wet up here, so don't break your neck or ankles... The terrain is poorly mowed and the ground is not level anywhere. You have to be very careful just walking through the course as it would be very easy to sprain your ankle. The entire ground is more a collection of divets rather than a flat-ish surface.
The goals are often at very short lengths. There are no hazards or even trees on this course, it's just wide open straight shots in a field. It's hard to find the course itself as it's not clearly marked or even visible from the closest parking lot.
That being said it's a decent place for beginners to learn to throw straight shots, but the only challenge is really just protecting your ankles.
I will stay away from this course in the future. It is an uninspired health hazard.

Only two holes have any real challenge #8 dog leg right around patch of trees small driver/mid, and #9 blind throw around patch of black berries dog leg left putter. Pretty much an open field with mow lines straight to each basket. I like to come here on the weekends, or weekday evenings after 7pm to save on the parking fees, and avoid the crowds at Leverich, Glenwood, or Pier. But currently this is not ...

Pretty much an open field with mow lines straight to each basket. I like to come here on the weekends, or weekday evenings after 7pm to save on the parking fees, and avoid the crowds at Leverich, Glenwood, or Pier. But currently this is not a substitute for those caliber of courses, just a good place to practice in relative privacy. Rubber tee pads can be slick, and are out of alignment of baskets.
