why are there big stupid arrows painted on the tee pads? was there a problem here with people throwing backwards?

One of our guys got stung on hole 16s tee pad. There's a soccer ball sized nest 6 ft high on the pine to the left of the tee pad (pin side of tree). Just a heads up to other golfers

I am going to play this course sometime in the next year and wanted to know from players here 1. Is it open year round and 2. What are the good months of the year to play (or stay away from this course) due to course conditions?

Anyone that plans on playing in the state championships, if you don't have a Michigan Bag Tag you are missing out on potentially getting your registration cash back as well as other prizes!
If you want to learn how to play better tags are a great way to challenge others better then you so that you can learn from them.

hmm....with gas prices being what they are and swampy soil seems like I will wait awhile to sacrifice more plastic to Poseidon.

Played there Sunday and it wasn't too bad, a little wet down by the water of course but overall wasn't bad

Any course conditino updates, I heard rumors that it was a slush fest.

The card is accurate. It is what par was for worlds. Yes some are easy par 4's, but some holes are easy par 3's. The usual rule of thumb is how many shots to get within putting distance then add 2. Getting a 4 on hole 12 is a birdie IMO.

Watched him tear that course a new one at worlds 08

IMO, #12 and #17 are legit par 4s. 1 and 4 seem like solid par 3 holes (especially 1, its reasonable to deuce it).

IMO it should be a par 56 for the course.

Is this course par 54 or is it 59 like the scorecard says? The scorecard I have has holes #1,4,17 as par 4s and hole #12 as a par 5. DGS has course par at 54.
