The disc golf course at the Van Buren State Park was upgraded during the early summer of 2011 from 9 holes to 18. The layout has been compressed so there is not as much walking between holes but you will still walk 1.5 miles to play a complete round. Most of the holes are between 200 and 300 feet. There are 6 holes between 300 and 400 feet. The 2 shortest holes require a throw through an opening cut through the woods over a ravine to a basket on the other side. Tees are natural but each tee has ...

A decent park with an 18 hole course that appears to make the best of it's existing surroundings. Played on a nice Autumn afternoon with about 3 other cars in the parking lot and still had issues playing through and around other people. I can't imagine playing here during peak season. This course is nice for people in the area to go play something different. I wouldn't go too far out of the way to play here, but if you aready coming through on 75, stop if you have time. Layout here is a little odd (used to be a 9 hole course). Only a few of the baskets have double chains. Natural tee pads. Two 100 ft holes, however there is a lot of OB to work with on them and throughout the round. All in all, a pretty easy course for the seasoned disc golfer.

Nice layout of available space. Short course but still some skill shots. Needs tee pads and only half the baskets are double chained.

Fun and yet challenging course. I really like the overall layout of the course. Never crowed like other places, has some newer pads too. Van Buren Lake has taken a few disc in the pass.
