This is the toughest course in Kansas, outside of down under at Rosedale, that I have played hands down!. There are many tunnel shots that are completely unforgiving if you throw into the trees. The layout encompasses a mixture of of hyzer and "lefty" shots and some decent variety in lines off the T-pads. There are many tunnel shots that are completely unforgiving if you throw into the trees. The layout encompasses a mixture of of hyzer and "lefty" shots and some decent variety in lines off the T-pads.

Holes 2 and 14 are ridiculous really but #2 can be a fairly easy birdie or par by throwing a short drive out of the tunnel to the right, then throwing a second drive under the basket from 300 ft (par 4).

Holes 5-10 are shorter and more technical and the most enjoyable section of the course (for me).

Hole 11 is a monster that requires a throw across a drainage culvert but It did not do much for me as I have heard how awesome it is by a lot of people .

You can park a Cadillac on the T Pads and there are new signs on every hole. There are alternate pin placements for just about every hole. The course was well maintained albeit some stacks of timber and deadwood did line some fairways. I did not see any poison ivy that people talk about either.

I give this course an A and if there was any type of elevation change it would get an A+. If you are looking for a challenge, make the drive to Salina and play this course!
