The Rez - Reservoir

This is a very beautiful park that winds through the woods. The course is set apart from most other activities, so other park users don't come into play except on only a few holes. There are many signature holes that you will remember, and it seems that the course was designed with great care. The course provides a great mix of open and narrow wooded shots, and even uses water nicely. Probably wouldn't be too difficult for new players, but experience definitely wouldn't hurt. There are many signature holes that you will remember, and it seems that the course was designed with great care. The course provides a great mix of open and narrow wooded shots, and even uses water nicely. Probably wouldn't be too difficult for new players, but experience definitely wouldn't hurt. There is also a good ratio of short to long holes. There were plenty of trash cans in the park, and there was good signage, benches and concrete tee pads at every hole. I'll start by saying the grass was mowed, benches and trash cans were present, and it was possible to play the front or back 9 as a short loop. However, without a guide, I got lost many times. First off, I played this, my first round here, alone and with only three discs (I'm currently carrying 17). I'll start by saying the grass was mowed, benches and trash cans were present, and it was possible to play the front or back 9 as a short loop. However, without a guide, I got lost many times. There are many trails leading to different baskets and it was difficult to find tees and pair them to their baskets. Not only were the trails confusing, but the flow of the course lacked as well - back-tracking parallel to fairways, many long walks, sidewalks, bike-pathes, and fences constantly crossed. Either I couldn't find the right tees or some of the tees were missing signs. Of the signs that were up, 50% of the distances listed seemed very inaccurate (which made finding baskets more confusing, though also sometimes flattering (50' from the pin on a hole listed at 498'?! lol. I cannot throw that far!) With all my discs and knowing where the baskets are, I think I could shoot a much lower round, even playing safe on the water holes. It's fairly scenic, though a bit suburban. I didn't ever feel the need to have a backhand (not that I would throw one) which speaks a limited shot variation. I'm glad I got to play here and would play it again. It's fun because it's so do-able to get a good score on a course with some decent distance, but it's not nearly as challenging as what I'm used to up in Michigan.
