Lost a Star Destroyer with a Miller high life stamp on it. Not sure which hole around 9 or 17 area. If found will give reward, no name on disc either
Didn't lose it in the creek, think i just walked away from it on the fairway of 17 before shooting over the creek. but wind took my shoot over to 9s basket so somewhere in that area.
more than likely it could have been turned in to the pro shop. I will be there saturday, I'll poke around

Nothing like calling ahead to play some disc, getting the go ahead, driving an hour to play and then getting there and being told you can't play. Officially, I will no longer go to Sunnybrook unless there is a tourney/leagues/etc. This is the fourth time that this has happened in two years... I just don't get it. What's the purpose of calling before?!?! I personally love this course, but what a waste of time. And AL can be so damn rude. Grrr.
They do reserve the right to not let anyone on the course, to a point. If there are an abundance of golfers, I would assume they would have us hold back. I personally wouldn't agree with it, but their money comes from them, not us. Also, Not assuming, but when you showed up did you look like yo ... more
all of us were in disc golf dry fits and shorts. Ryan I believe is who was on the phone. I personally have played the course several times, but these mishaps just occur a bit too often for me. Al was who said we couldn't disc upon arrival. thank you for the offer to show me around though.
Not so much a show around I guess but I don't usually get told no. Ryan is a decent guy but he's caused a Lil trouble for us. Adam is the real DB. The only thing I can think of is they got busy in terms of golfers and tried to keep discers off. which is wrong. Especially on the weekend. I ... more

How is this course? I've tried twice going but got turned away both times. Said that course was packed but one of the times I definitely felt like I was being turned away rudely. What is the best time to go? I know I plan on making a day of it with a cart.
course is awesome. big and long. It is primarily a ball golf course remember and their leagues come first. Play after 630 or call for a tee time on the weekend.

I have squared away some time tomorrow to do some fishing. Steve wilmoth will be out there helping me and spotting. If you have a specific place that I should look that is not an obvious spot please message me and let me know. Also, if you have a disc that is not tagged in anyway let me know. If it is tagged I WILL CONTACT YOU and get it to you. No need to ask if I found it

FYI we called up to sunnybrook yesterday and the guy who answered hmm hawed about us being able to play, then he said we could only play 11 until 2 today. then we called back today just to make sure, and the same guy said we COULDN'T play. then we called him out on it, and he changed his tune and said we could. This place doesn't seem very welcoming to disc golfers. WE are going to Stony Creek instead.
Maybe this is why the ball golfers call it ScummyBrook..
The transistion from ball golf to ball/disc golf is a challenging endevour at best. Patience, a positive approach and professional attitude will go a long way in the acceptance process with both encountered ball golfers and the Sunnybrook staff. Having played here a couple times, I have also foun ... more

Do we have to dress like ball golfers or have tee times??
I did call for a tee time, and wore a collared shirt. I do not believe this is necessary, but can leave a positive impression on encountered ball golfers. When playing there, I have had to engage several ball golfers, both from curiosity and disapproval standpoint. I suggest these are both opportunities to be an ambassador for our game.

So any word on diving for all those tourney discs? Or should I plan a day to go swimming?
you may not plan a day. this is a not a public park, it is a golf course. we will get to it as soon as we can.
lol. It's ok. It is not a common course so people sometimes forget that the property owner actually has concerns for those who dive of possibly getting hit with a golf ball while on the other end of the spectrum those who dive just may be distracting the ball golfers and then the owner has to h ... more
