Great course. Very well marked making it quite easy to navigate. Each basket has an indicator at the bottom pointing to the next tee pad. Markers on trees also direct ot next tee pad. Tee pads are adequate size. Nice to be wider at the back in essence pointing the direction of the hole. The grounds were very well manicured. Very little trash on the course (maybe 10 cans and bottles noticed on two rounds). The lake was very low taking water out of the equation on all holes.

Great use of the lake surrounding the course. A little tease of it in the front 9 but then a little bit more water in the back 9. Course kept extremely clean and great use of the rock croppings throughout the hill side. This was my first time playing so taking walks up the fairway were necessary to find some of the pin locations.

Beautiful, challenging. Multiple choices off the tee. Love the water holes. Too many random trees in the middle of fairway IMO.

Beautiful facilities at the IDGC. The Headrick Course probably played the easiest of the 3 courses on the grounds. Amazing view through the first half of the course along side the lake. The back also will show off some more of the lake to you. Fairways are carved out nicely through the wooded course. There are some really awesome greens on this course that are surround by big pieces of granite and other rocks. Placement is a big must on the course. Play smart and you'll leave happy with a decent score...play it all out and you'll pay the price for it some where along the way.

Easiest of the 3 manicured IDGC tracks. Several elevation changes on the front, multiple tees, wooded with well defined fairways, and a few holes where the river is in play make this a must play. Play #5 to the right, over the river if you have the guts as it is the best risk reward shot I've played.

Another great course. All the baskets were in their short position, so not sure how tough it could have played; but a sweet course.

Now that I have developed at least a little control, I like this course. It is very challenging because of the LOOOOOONG narrow channels you have to hit on some of the holes. I'm not fond of the uphill shots but there are some long open shots that are just plain fun. Plus the practice area of the IDGC gives you a good place to warm up so you don't have to hold up other golfers while you practice your putts and drives.

super nice course. kinda hilly but all the courses at the idgc are. lot of shot shaping to do. kinda tight on some holes and open on others, good mix. great scenery with the lake in the background on most holes.
