Jared Kastleman 58 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Beautiful, windy day. Hole 1 was in a shorter position that I have never played and provided a quick birdie to start. A few mistakes on holes 2 & 5 got me really frustrated, instead of taking the high road I took the low road and started to mentally melt down. Not until hole 15 did I pull my head out and somehow manage to salvage a decent round. Lesson learned. Again. Summer is morphing quickly into Fall, not much time left to play Soli. Shaun Reeve 59 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Last round of the Monster Mountain Challenge. Finished 10th in Intermediate. Very enjoyable weekend watching Paul McBeth kick some serious ass!"+9
Jared Kastleman 90 - Regular tees, 27 holes "Mild, cloudy day with some wind gusts. Started of the round with a good drive that landed just above the pin and set up an easy birdie. Holes 2 & 3 gave me some trouble and both required less than easy putts to secure bogeys. Great up shot on hole 4 set up a par. Hole 5 was in the long pin position today and cost me a bogey, the extra 73ft. of steep uphill makes this position much more challenging than the shorter. A nice low drive with the Katana set up an easy par on beautiful hole 6. I ran a good drive at 7 that carried just low of the basket and continued on setting up a long putt and a par. My drive went straight into the bottom of The Abyss on hole 8, I was able to keep my composure and squeeze out a par with a good up shot and putt. Hole 9 went smoothly followed by a great putt to secure a first ever birdie on 10. Good pars on 11-13 were followed by an overly aggressive 2nd shot and a bogey on 14. I was able to par C & F and hold A,B,D,E,G,H & I to bogeys. A sweet run at hole 15 gave me a gift wrapped birdie. Good up shots on 16 & 17 both resulted in pars. I finished with a solid effort on 18 that presented me with a genuine par opportunity and ultimately a respectable bogey. This round sets a new PB for me at Solitude by 3 strokes. It is quite remarkable to be so pleased with a +9 round. One of the most enjoyable rounds I have ever played."Sunday, August 26, 2012

Jory Reid 59 - Regular tees, 18 holes "bugh, could have done a lot better. Had fun with Jeff, Mark, Branden, and Dehn on this round. Jeff killed it with a +1."+8
Jake La "Putt" ka 89 - Regular tees, 27 holes "Had momentum going and then a hurricane made everything go wrong on hole 8 and after that i had bad luck until hole 13 then i just played mediochre until the end. Still got 3rd place though. Played with Josh Guhl, Kevin Dyslin, and Brad Merzlock"+16
shotgun kelly 97 - Monster Energy Challenge 27, 27 holes "Round 3. What a great weekend! Disappointed in the way I played after practicing all summer. Each day got worse which was a bummer. Ended up 18th in advanced. But it was one of the funnest weekends ever and quite possibly the best tournament all year! Many of the Tunnel Runners did very well which is sick!"+9
Markus Mika 90 - Regular tees, 27 holes "Final round with Shae, Brandon, Chad, and Jeremy. Finished in 5th place Advanced (+27). Very happy with result considering I only played the course twice this year before the tournament. Best tournament of the year!"+8
Sterling Wright 89 - Monster Energy Challenge 27, 27 holes "Last round of the tourney, tied with Sean, TJ and Cassidy on my card. I played my best golf, still missed a few putts I should have made but I finished 10th/26 players in the Advanced Field with a sliced open finger. Not too shabby :)"Saturday, August 25, 2012

Jake La "Putt" ka 86 - Regular tees, 27 holes "Round 2, way less windy than day 1. Kept my mental game a little better than yesterday. This was the hot round in my division and it put me on the lead card going into round 3 1 stroke off the leader Brad Merzlock. Had a good time today with Brandon Merzlock, Kevin Dyslin, Markus Mika, and Sterling Wright."+8

Super fun round (besides when i was boiling with anger from holes F-I) with Adam Ashworth, Shotgun Kelly, Sterling Wright, and Rustin POMERAMI! Put myself on the 2nd card going into round 2, 3 strokes off the leader"+10

Jared Kastleman 93 - Regular tees, 27 holes "Beautiful, super windy day. Holes 2,4,5,6,7,10,14 and 16 were all in positions I have never played before, this was pretty cool and a challenge. My Xcal Ace disc got sucked into an alternate universe on hole 6, after looking for 45 min. and finding 2 discs, one of which was pulled out of a tree 40ft. up balls out by Matt. I sucked it up and re teed with a penalty stroke. I was able to par out and walked away with a 4P, for loosing a disc this was a best case scenario. Matt and I both birdied 15 with a backhand and forehand respectively, that was sick! A-I is insane, I was able to par E,G & I with great putts. My drive on G soared through the gap on a chairlift, freaken crazy! I don't know how 9 holes could be any more extreme or beautiful. The view from the tee for F is one of the most amazing I have ever seen on a DG course. Came really close to setting a PB at Solitude. Spectacular day of disc golf."Tuesday, August 14, 2012
