Are there any events coming up in Oct 2018? My parents live in the area & i am planning a visit.

There was a tourney here close to Christmas in 2017. Anyone know anything about it? I always visit at xmas and am interested for next year.. Thanks.

Thanks for your response. It was at Socastee though, my family lives close to it. I drove over the day after Xmas and the tourney had just ended. Can't find anything here or anywhere. Will check out Tupelo, thanks.

That was likely not a tournament but a tag day, specifically it was our voting on creating our board of directors. So I would just say, that is the semantics of what is a 'Tournament.' We had a lot of people out forming our club as an official body, not a tournament where you preregister and what not. Just trying to mobilize everyone in order to vote.

Hi Jerrod. Which club then so I can follow along? Sure looked like a tourney, 70 players at least, multiple vendors with hundreds of discs on-hand, OB painted on ground and signs up in the trees indicating which fairway lines to take, and I got there in time for the trophy presentations. Never seen a tag day like that.

Check out Myrtle Beach Disc Golf Club on Facebook. We finally started a club with bod and all for 2018. There are a lot of new and exciting things being done with the MBDGC this year!
Like keith said, the facebook page is the best way to keep up on events. Otherwise checking DGU and DGS on a regular basis is the best way to check. There are talks about some new benefit events to be done later in the year. For now regular play takes place on tuesdays, wednesdays and saturdays. ... more

We will have new club days by october though as most days adjust to the dwindling sun. Saturday morning tags is about the only given.
