Course has matured very well. There was a small adjustment made to the course that isn't reflected on the main course sign but new signs directing players to the next hole were added last year which makes navigating the course a breeze.

Played this last weekend and was pretty impressed. Some signage needs to be taken care of and the map seems to be from a previous layout, but the holes were fun and it was great for the entire family.

Good course for recreational players (like myself), especially from the short tees.

Truly, I am biased, but I love our course. The reviews from 2014 ought to be discounted, as it was the course's first year in the ground, and it's completely transformed. Since then we have tee signs, directional signs, Course map at the entrance, and as one reviewer mentioned already, it's a beautiful park. Dedicated disc golf park, so no one will ever be having a picnic on the fairway. Come try it out, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

did a friendly disc golf tour last summer and stopped here. the site was very poorly mapped out and wasn't well maintained at all. Park was beautiful however.

living in newmarket / barrie last 5 years. Depending on what you are looking for in a course, Sandy is the best in terms of allocated space for disc golf only. Free, secluded, great people who care and maintain the course.

The pictures on DGS don't do this course justice. The course has been updated quite a bit since most of these pictures were taken, and the layout has even changed. Sandy Hollow is a great mix of wooded holes on the back half, and more open holes on the front. The course can be challenging at times as some baskets are positioned on some steep hills which can make longer putts a bit nerve wracking as missed putts have a tendency to be punished with roll aways.

Awesome layout with lots of elevation changes. Ace-able baskets that make you want to come back and try again.
