heavily wooded course. Did not have tee signs. With the short and long tees & the A and B pin locations makes this beginner friendly as well a good technical challenge for the intermediate to advance player. The course was a little muddy. So any kind of rain fall the day before might result in really muddy conditions. Very flat course. Good baskets. Wish they were not all green in color though. Makes it difficult to see in the woods.

Pros: It looks as through Sahm park is in a rebuild stage and transition. I heard it was originally a 9 hole course expanded to a new 18 hole layout. Only half of the holes, have concrete tees, the other half are all natural. Had a little difficulty navigating the course, never played there and few directional signs telling you where to turn. The baskets seem fairly new (Prodigy). The course is pretty flat and with no water holes. The wooded holes have tight lines, you will score well, just to ...

Solid course, in much better shape that previous years with brush being cleared away, solid tee pads and bridges, along with really nice signage that should be in place sometime in 2021.

Course will be great once the new tees and signs get installed. This course is fairly new layout so its not broke in yet and until then and a few things get tweaked its a B- for me.

Currently undergoing a redesign & build-out Sahm has 9 brand new Prodigy baskets, extended holes, alternate pin locations & 9 more holes being carved out of the wooded area. This historic course is getting a much deserved refresh thanks to a very motivated newer (& older) groups of club members @ The HDGU

The new wooded holes add some extra difficulty in length that transform the entire charm of the course. The new Prodigy baskets have also been a welcome upgrade. Over the last 5 years, this course has transformed from below average to one of my favorite courses in Marion County and the credit is entirely due to a few dedicated volunteers who saw the big picture and executed their plans.

I really enjoyed the course, very easy to find all the pin placements and very tech. It was a ton of fun and would like to play again now that I have went through the course fully.
