just bringin this back to the top a few times. Here we go again. I just got a call from the city. They are getting a lot of complaints about people smoking on the course. Once again it is illegal to smoke on all Riverdale public properties. That includes the course and the trail. The police are going to start writing citations soon if they keep getting complaints. This is hot and relates to all forms of smoking !! Pass the word to those that don’t get on the scene. If you see someone smoking, please educate them.

I don't smoke let alone ger a chance to play,butt,it couldn't hurt to maybe go behind a tree or something.
Ive missed playing with u all. To see this topic come up again hurts me as well as all the otjer players because the city could take all of this away from all of us. I hear u rick !

It was a Scout project that they did last Saturday. He printed it on banner material then caulked them and sealed it in. I believe his Name was Nelson. Very Cool Group of Boy Scouts out doing great things for the community.

Hey everyone, i am brand spankin new to this sport, and brand new to common sense apparently. I lost a red Flick somewhere around hole 8. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that showed up to work on the course Saturday. We got a ton of work done thanks to Rod’s skid steer. It only took minutes to fill trucks compared to what it takes to fill a truck by hand. Weed eating was massive. Hopefully the city will come out and do the rest. They may not if the river rises and they have to spend the week sandbagging. They are real sandbaggers. If not we will be fine with what we have. We could always use more but the bulk of the bad ar ... more

We could always use more but the bulk of the bad areas are good. We had approximately 25 workers out there Saturday. I was going to get names, but I had plumbing issues with my house, so I didn’t get out there till 11:00ish. Sorry!!! To the ones that had legitimate reasons for not coming out. Sorry you couldn’t make it. For the ones that came out and played while we were working, your toast on karma. Is there a reason you couldn’t drop your bags and help? I don’t think so!!!! Oh yeah Sunday T2 and I were out there working in the rain for a couple of hours. Nigel and Kelly came out too but it was too wet to get anything done. I’m sure they would have kicked ass if it wasn’t so wet. They already have. Overall good job NUDGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If someone wants to work this week go for it. We could use some more weed eating. Just pick a spot where discs land, and are hard to find. Also Tee pads need leveling too, but that may require dirt to be brought in from the mounds by hole 1. Please do not dig holes. I believe Tee’s 10, 11, and 12 still need work as far as leveling goes. Not sure haven’t been out there since Saturday. Go ahead and use chips if available, if you have too, but it won’t last. It will be fine for the RPO. I think Rod could use some help Friday too. Not sure what he is going to do. I think he will be marking Tees and last minute stuff. Contact Rod for details.

Just bringing this back to the top. It looks like the only time we are going to be able to work on the course before the Riverpark open will be on the 28th and 29th of May. So we are calling for an all hands NUDGA work day then. We really need more workdays than that, but stuff is going on so it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. If you have a weed eater or something and you want to go out and work on your own, go for it. If you are a NUDGA and you come out on the work days to play ... more

It looks like the only time we are going to be able to work on the course before the Riverpark open will be on the 28th and 29th of May. So we are calling for an all hands NUDGA work day then. We really need more workdays than that, but stuff is going on so it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. If you have a weed eater or something and you want to go out and work on your own, go for it. If you are a NUDGA and you come out on the work days to play you will be harassed by those of us that will be working. Details to come. I will be bringing this to the top of this board as needed till then. Please get the word out to those that don’t get on the scene. I will post a sign on the course too. It looks like we will have a skid steer out there so we will need trucks and people to haul and spread dirt and wood chips. The city did say that would try come out and mow so we need to outline all of the upper fairways. We have a new city Public Works Director, so we need to show him what we can do. The plan is to fix as many of the tee pads as possible, knock down the weeds, do some trail work, and a general clean up. Rod will have his skid loader out there so no more loading trucks by hand. So bring your weed eaters, or whatever you may have to take down weeds. We need trucks too if you have them, or just come out and help. Looks like Rod posted 9:00am to 12:00pm but some of us will be working longer if the course isn’t too busy.
