you could always do a save the trash cans tourny $ 10 to play winners get bragging rites or some random donated prizes. you get at least 20 ppl to show and you got your inner cans.

First, yes they look great & I also have noticed less trash on the ground. The hard work that went into making them by a kid named chad correct me if I'm wrong, is enough to try & make them work. They make the course look great, I vote the inner trash can, sounds like a functional idea the cost is the question? Go NUDGA

Seems like Parker's idea would work. It sure would be nice to be able to keep them, they really do improve the look of the course.

I posted my post to get ideas for fixing the cans and it seems to be working. We got 1 for inner cans and 1 for filling them somewhat with dirt. Both really great ideas keep em coming folks. I don't want to take them out they just need be able to empty them easier. I know folks have ideas out there. Bring it. We need to do some R&D.

I went out on Saturday and did trash and it was not real bad on most holes but some were kinda nasty, I think we can make them work with a little fine tuning on attaching the bags. I noticed a lot less trash on the course and had a lot of people comment on how nice they look, I vote we try them for a while longer

I really hate putting this out but, the new trash cans have to go. It is imposable to empty them without digging half of the trash and yuk out by hand. Unless somebody has an idea that can make them emptiable? Emptiable is that a word? As they are now the plastic bags just come apart when we try to pull them out. It’s just nasty and time consuming. It was nasty before but it wasn’t nasty 17 times. Unless someone else wants to volunteer for this job they will have to go now? When we go out to ... more

Oh yeah!! The back 9 holes have been reinstalled. It pretty primitive back there so watch carefully where your disc is going. Also we have no trash cans, or bags back there so if you pack it in, pack it out at least to the next trash can. If we can’t keep it clean back there we may end up taking the holes back out. Please no bottles!! Please spread the word to those that don’t get on the scene.

OMG!! The course looks awesome. Thanks to all who came out and worked. We got a ton done again, and we are almost ready for the RPO. The trash can are awesome too, and they are a nice addition to the course. I wanted to mention everybody’s names but I would leave too many people out. You know who you are. Speaking of Friday if anyone isn’t working we could use some help applying the final touches for the RPO. Still a lot to do. Not sure what time we going to be out there yet, but I will try to let you know ASAP.

We really need people to come out tomorrow and help out with prepping the Back Back 9 holes. The area hasn’t had any traffic on it and it desperately needs some work. We have a few more baskets to paint, and some anchors to make, then we can install them. We also need to finish off the upper holes. The city is still planning on mowing so we just need to get the areas they can’t mow. We have wood chips to spread out too. Got alot done today. Thanks to all that came out. Too bad it started to rain. One more work day like that and we will be golden. Still if you wnt to go out and weedeat whenever you have time its fine. The mounds on holes 1,3, 4, 17, 18 need to he done still. Again thanks!!!!!!!!!!

Just moveing this back to the top. Dont forget next Saturday 26 May. We are going to have 2 course clean up days on 26 May, and 2 June in preparation for the 2012 Riverpark Open on June 9th and 10th. Come on out and lend a hand. We need all the help we can get. We are going to take care of the weeds, fix tee pads and just clean up in general. Bring whatever tools you may have. We are going to have 2 course clean up days on 26 May, and 2 June in preparation for the 2012 Riverpark Open on June 9th and 10th. Come on out and lend a hand. We need all the help we can get. We are going to take care of the weeds, fix tee pads and just clean up in general. Bring whatever tools you may have. If you have a truck to haul Chips, and dirt bring it too. If you don’t have any tools or a truck, come out and help anyway. Hopefully the city will mow the big areas again. Mark your calendars and let the folks know that don’t get on the scene. I’m going to post some signs at the course too.

The mounds on the way to long 18 need some work too. Someone can do hole 4 fairway to the long position too. Well you know where to go. Please don’t do any clearing on holes 12 thru 14 though. That is a sensitive area, as I have said for several years. Just a reminder. We are going to do some in that area but we can’t go nuts. PLEASE NO CHAIN SAWS anywhere on the course!!!!! If we let folks go out with chain saws, pretty soon we won’t have any trees left.

Well said Rick! There are apparently people "partying" at 14 tee pad, if you see them make note of who they are, what they look like etc. and let Rick, Kent or Myself know and we will talk to them. If we don't curb this activity the course will get shut down by the city. I hope that anyone who reads this will take it to heart and help us with this problem. Also let people know that if they must have bottles to please take them out with them when they leave.

Oh yeah if you see people breaking limbs off feel free to give them crap. The course will naturally get cleared as folks play but we don’t need to speed it along. What happened to the bush on the trail from hole 7?? It keeps getting busted up. I don’t understand?? I know the people damaging the course are not NUDGAs but if you see someone doing it, PLEASE educate them. Feel free to give the folks with bottles CRAP too. We did the trash last Sunday and had to pick up several broken ones. NOT FUN!!! Glass bottles are not legal within 200 feet of the river anyway, not to mention what’s in them. City law.

We have a list of thing to do to the course already but if you have something you think needs to be done send me a PM. Can’t guarantee they will get done on the work days, but we will try. Our list consists of mostly fixing tee pads, hole areas, and possibly some new sleeves.

Just got this from Riverdale City miniutes ago. thought I would pass it along. Get the word out to thouse who dont get on the scene. "FYI the animal control officers is under a no tolerance police at this time. Any dog off leash will be cited. There will also be increased patrol for alcohol and drugs. This is at all parks, not just the disc golf. If you could pass that along".
