Pier Park will be closed Saturday and Sunday to the general public in order to make way for the Northwest's largest amateur ONLY disc golf tournament. This year, in addition to the real life tournament, we're also running a fantasy NAAC tournament. We've partnered with PlayFantasyDiscGolf.com to run a separate fantasy sports based event. Participation is free and prizes will be awarded during the award ceremony at the NAAC. To register for your free account and join the tournament, go to www.playfantasydiscgolf.com. Register your account and then click "Leagues" and "Find a League". Then enter the invitation code, "BA3C69OC". First place will get an Innova Traveler basket so make sure you join the fun!

You don't have to be a player in the event but you do have to be present at the awards ceremony to win!

To Whom it May Concern-

I am a representative of a Portland-based production company that will be filming in Pier Park July 31st - August 3rd. Holes #3 and #4 will be CLOSED for all hours, Monday through Friday, 7/30-8/4. In addition there will be a great deal of equipment and crew members in the park, which I hope will not become targets. If you have any questions or concerns, I'm happy to address them at any time. Pier Park 10th Anniversary Destroyers Pier Park Disc Golf Course, in Portland, Oregon, has a local neighborhood group called Friends of Pier Park that helps maintain and watch after the park. This group had fundraiser discs made up for the 10th Anniversary of the course. There were 25 KC Rocs and 25 Echo Star Destroyers. After the Rose City Open (local B-Tier) there are only a few discs left. The group is working with 4discgolf.com to sell the rest of the discs online. Here' the link... ... more

Unfortunately, the KC Rocs are all gone, but there are 10 Destroyers left and they are selling for $20 each. These will sell very quickly so if you'd like one it'd be best to buy it right away!

played the new pier layout, it is so badass all the work that has gone into this course to make the winter layout happen. its like a new course, well half a new course cause you do play some regular holes, and new hole 18 i bounced off the tree behind it and almost aced it. what an awesome job all the volunteers have done to make this happen. thousand thank you's to whom ever make this happen! I TOTALY LOVE IT! and i always meet new cool locals to huk with. Aaron thanks for joining me and JT.

Hey discer. I found a champ Val last Friday why playing. The disc has zero ink but if it's yours I'd like to get it back to you. Hit me up and if you can describe it we can find a way to get it back to you. I know how loosing discs is. Someone grabbed my CE Val between 8-9 and that was a bummer.

Head's Up! Portland Parks and Rec is closing hole 2 tomorrow (Wednesday 9/7/11) in order to do some environment core sampling. PLEASE RESPECT THEM and move on to hole 3 after putting out at hole one. They say it should only be closed for one day. Also, there is a X-Country meet at Pier this Saturday (9/10/11). The X-Country people have the permits for exclusive use of the park. The meet will mainly be going from 9am-11am. Again, please be respectful of the situation and plan your golf a ... more
