To start, this course has great baskets that love to catch even the worst putters and lucky aces, and the location is nice because you can get away from town and breath in the fresh air that the creek circulates through the course. Unlike other courses in Alaska, this one provides trashcans at each tee box, so the park is always clean of litter. The course is generally flat in elevation besides hole 8 where you throw about 200’ with a vertical drop of about 50’. That being said; what this course needs is tee pads, nearly every shot off the tee requires accuracy and after a rain these areas are full of water and mud that can sit for days. Beware: if you misthrow any tee box, you are looking at a bogie because there are a billion 1"-6" diameter trees to the left, right and center fairway. Upshots from the rough require luck if you hope to finish par. This course was designed for the shorter range finesse player, so fill your bag with midranges, putters, 1 versatile driver that you can flip and keep on hyzer, and a couple fairway drivers, i.e. Firebird and Teebird. My lowest score on this course was a 45 putter only round, drivers can bust you. (not my style, I prefer the grip and rip courses) so I give this a C+. This place is unlike any other course I’ve ever played, so you should definitely check it out. I’ll give PC an A/B when I see tee boxes and 1/3 of the trees cut down.
