11/11/19 The New Old Settlers Park is outstanding. A John Houck design. It is nothing like the old course. Something to be proud of. IMO it is not cart friendly. Some OB is painful. There are water hazards but you do not go near the lake anymore.

Great course to strengthen your arm. Plenty of room for long drives. Scattered trees provide little shade, but the course is well groomed. Hole 16's water hazard is the only true threat to your disc, making this course beginner friendly despite the long distances.

Lot of fun holes that challenge your ability to hit a line and shape a shot. Also a few open birdie holes at the beginning. Reminds me of east coast style of disc golf.

Fun course! Pretty wide open so you can really bomb it. Most holes are straight, so any way you throw it is usually okay. Good for beginners. The park is full of other festivities, so there are a lot of other people walking around you have to look out for. Each hole has a nice map. Grounds are well kept.

Most challenging course in Austin in my opinion. Most these reviews are for old course.. first 4 holes are in the open and then you go into woods for 5-18. Very technical and shot shaping throws are necessary to get a good score.
