Thank You Dale Wiess and Pier 23 for being the 2016 scorecard sponsor. Please try and re-use scorecards many times over. The city of Au Gres makes certain to always have a supply at the course, the maps help tremendously for the new visitors. The league players will reuse a few cards all summer - let's all save were we can - IMPORTANT UPDATE - the course just received a dump truck load of diamond dust for use in filling in tee pads and creating a much safer alternative until cement pads arr ... more

COURSE UPDATE - Old Airport DGC is as dry as it's ever been in mid May. Grounds keeper Ron has Saturday scheduled as the 1st day to cut the grass with the recently reconditioned Kubota tractor. If there are interested volunteers, plan on coming out the the course Saturday and Ron will advise you on what needs to be done to make it all better than 2015. And if you're not an interested volunteer, just get yourself out to this great twenty hole, challenging disc golf course. Make certain ... more

With a limited budget the City of Au Gres is wanting to add a small putting course to the City Park & Campground. Are there any clubs out there that may have baskets for sale at discounted price ? They would need no more than 3 baskets. Send me a pm with any ideas or offers. They are also hoping for some used discs to be donated. thanks

Collins Bolinger   April 8, 2016 at 6:11pm

Played the course today. It was super wet. We had to skip a few of the holes. Still had a great time though.

Andrew LaCross    March 18, 2016 at 6:34am

I swung through here yesterday and shot holes 8 through 11 and then 19 and 20

Andrew LaCross   March 19, 2016 at 9:37am

I only had 45 mins before dark.. hole 1 was definitely flooded haha.. I might swing back by there today at some point and walk the whole course.. it was intriguing :)

course update - Thanks go out to the City of AuGres for providing a Porta John to the course. Keep it free from destruction and remember, the $$$ donations are paying the way for improvements.

May 26 course update - ALL fairways were cut and trimmed this past weekend. Holes 1 & 2 are a little soggy, especially after a rain but regardless, all 20 holes are awaiting more players. The course is getting the attention it deserves with Ron estimating 40 vehicles visiting over a 2 day period when he was cutting. Of those he spoke to, nearly all were visiting from some distance. Play it, Review it, donate for tee pads. Thanks.

Old Airport Disc Golf Course - AuGres, Michigan

MAY 9th, 2015 --- course is dry and ready to play. Even better yet, the course and Ron are READY for some volunteer help. Raking, cleaning and getting it all set for the first mowing. Let Ron know or send me a message to arrange a time...

April 12th - COURSE CONDITION UPDATE - The course is in flood conditions - you should all wait to play until the rain stops and we have some good sun and wind.

Craig Prime    March 27, 2015 at 6:19pm

Spring course conditions remain wet with holes 1 & 2 nearly flooded and hole 3 having standing water near the basket. The wooded holes will most likely have wet areas developing as the final traces of snow leave with more rain (hopefully no more snow). There were players out this past week so it is playable but only for those that want to weave their way through the playable holes or standing water... Visit Old Airport DGC soon.

I will be spending the weekend in Oscoda and plan on stopping by this course on my way home on Sunday. If there is a local who wants to play a round with me so i can have a guide that would be great. Im not sure what time i will be passing through but we can figure that out latter.

Craig Prime   August 18, 2014 at 7:27am

Mark, we're glad you made it back and enjoyed the improvements. Ron works hard making the course one of the best. I'll let him know that you were there, he'll be sad that he missed you.

Junior Ordiway    August 16, 2014 at 3:36am

Tuesday night leagues still going??

Craig Prime   August 16, 2014 at 6:43am

Junior, There has been a couple of people coming every Tuesday but from what I hear, this really isn't league play, just something close to what you would expect. a guy named Clark was making the attempt to run a league, I suggest that you contact him, ask why nothing is ever posted or if there is a real league playing. [email redacted]

Craig Prime    August 5, 2014 at 2:33am

As of August, 2014 the grass fairways have been well groomed several times and wooded hole fairways are quite clear of everything aside from the remaining stumps and toe stubs. Be careful and when playing, feel free to pick up some sticks, tossing them as far off the fairways as possible. The donations raised for tee pads is nearing $500.00, any predictions on when they'll start going in ?

Craig Prime    June 30, 2014 at 11:51pm

new tee signs and arrows pointing players to the next tee were installed last weekend, although how Ron keeps the course cut, it's easy to follow. enjoy the course
