played this course in february when i was down in florida for ymsb cabin fever tour, not a bad for a city course, not too great either... had a few longer and more challenging holes... met up with a group of guys who showed me around the park, would have been a little lost if i didnt run into them

I really like this course. Plenty of trees make it playable in summer months without dying from heat stroke. Good mix of shots needed to play. Not much OB compared to other courses i've played. Pads are OK.

The pin placements for the B course are much more challenging and add a nice flavor to this flat course.

Trees and some openings. Well thought out, but on a small area for 18 holes. Was muddy when we went, and it seems like it would be after every rain. Trash cans at every hole. I would go again.

Well prepped for the tourney. Creative 20 hole arrangement, did their best. Hard to really be dynamic without elevation. Water was not really a threat, woods were not very technical. I imagine the locals have pretty low scores... Great signs, benches, and easy to navigate. Variety of lines and shots makes this a great course to develop your game.

Folks, this is the oldest standing DGC in the state of Florida!! It also happens to be my home course. Par 3 course with 20 holes( Pro/AM pads A/B positions) The majority of Northside is tricky pine tree riddled fairways with technical greens. A few wide open fairways with 3 ponds to contend with. Maintained by the city of Gainesville and the local DG club Gainesville Chain Hawks, this course is well taken care of. Visit Gainesville Chain Haws Facebook page for events and club information.

Since the redesign, I changed my rating to A. This is a classic design with the course going through a mature treed parkland. Two sets of tees and two basket locations create a variety of layouts. Long to long is quite the challenge if you don't throw 500 ft. Overall, this is a beautiful course that challenges you in shaping your shots if you want to score well.

Northside is the oldest standing disc golf course in the state of Florida. Recently, the course has been renovated to add brand new Innova Discatcher baskets, (3) par 4’s, and with 3 completely new holes; 16, 17, and 18. Concrete pads on every hole, both long pads and shorts. Benches and trash cans on every hole as well. Plenty of trees to provide shade during the summer months. The course is immaculately maintained by the local club; The Gainesville Chain Hawks. The design is very fair and pl ...

Great course just hard to navigate your first one or two times. Baskets get a little confusing so pay attention.
