Well, I have a new favorite course... This course in on a large wooded property with creeks coming into play on multiple holes and extreme elevation changes. Most holes had multiple tees and signs (with distance and par for each). The tees and baskets were incredible with plenty of room to run up and come from either side at a bit of an angle. Well, I have a new favorite course... This course in on a large wooded property with creeks coming into play on multiple holes and extreme elevation changes. Most holes had multiple tees and signs (with distance and par for each). The tees and baskets were incredible with plenty of room to run up and come from either side at a bit of an angle. There were trash sacks and natural benches all over the course and even a vending machine in the chicken coop on #12. There is a large clubhouse with a/c, refreshments, snacks, apparel and discs for sale/rent. Scorecards had distance and par on them along with a complete map on the back. Every hole presented a unique challenge and I did not feel at all like I played the same hole twice or even 2 similar holes back to back. The variety here was incredible and demanded creativity with shot/disc selection. Although there were some long holes on here, being able to crush a drive wouldn't benefit much over controlled placement and rollers wouldn't be worth squat. I think that I learned a little about my mental game here that I've been trying to work on at home with little results. This course demands that you leave every bad shot behind you and just play the course one shot at a time.
The only things I would consider cons about this course would be location (it was a bit off the grid, but well worth the trip) and the rough was a little unforging making a spotter necessary on many holes... I imagine this will change a little over time as it is a very new course and over time, smaller foliage tends to get trampled or intentionally cleared.
There is also a $5 a day fee to play the course, but well worth every cent.

WOW!!!! This course is right in the middle of my work territory. I had no idea that this GEM of a course existed so close to me. To start off, the staff at check-in is incredibly friendly and excited about Disc Golf and the quality course they have. to offer. They have drinks, restrooms and even some disc for sale and rental disc for the newbies. They give you a scorecard with a map on the back. Well worth $5.00 they have a monthly membership for $10.00 and a annual for $60.00 The course has two sets of concrete tee-pads per hole and they change basket locations frequently. The course is continuously maintained by their staff. It has a perfect mix of wooded and open holes ranging from 810ft par 5 to 180ft par 3. Lots of elevation changes. There are some steep grades to navigate but the trails are kept clear. I am 48 and 275lbs I had no problem getting around this course. Great use of the streams on property. This is an example of what can be created when a designer is given a unrestricted use of the land.They also have over night options. They have secluded tent camp sites as well as tee-pees that sleep 2-10ppl and are finished out with regular wooden furnishings along with a community bathhouse for campers. I love this course so much I became a member and it is my new home course. I realize that it is a bit of a drive for most, but well worth it. This is a great destination to spend the weekend with buds or family. They have complemented their existing business of Zip Line tours nicely with the addition of Disc Golf . Go Play it!!!! You wont be disappointed.
