Decent design, almost non existent tee signs, poor teeing areas, Tee and next tee signs would do wonders.

I like Mccurdy only real knock against it is its a mixed use park but most of the front 9 is well away from the people back 9 more in the mixed use area still for the most part no issues of people being in the way.

Course has been changed. Starting on a nice Michigan shaped teepad and working thru the woods for the first 8 holes. Then an over river shot to start the park side. Hole 11 is a dbl Mando. Hole 12 can be played as a decent island. 17 is a death throw/ putt at the rivers edge. To end your round a nice 425+ downhill hyzers shot to flex that power a bit. Great random draw dbls league during summer on Monday night (530 pm player meeting). This course is shaping up to be one of the best around Michig ...

Very fun course. Hole 4 was not to be found (we threw to a big orange flag that appeared to be hole 4) Signage is difficult but there is a map to take a picture at the start of hole 1. Challenging but fun course. We will be back.

With the exception of the poor signage, mostly dirt pads and questionable layout (navigation is impossible for first timers without UDisc), This course has a variety of cool holes. A few are along the river, one is uphill with a neat mando, the next downhill. The last several holes are in the field and woods. A unique course with character.

Clean coarse with some moderately tough shots but for the most part shorter holes. Good coarse to start disco good at. And to get a hole in one on !

First, I enjoyed this course. This rating is low because it is so hard to navigate and the flow from hole to hole is poor. I think if you played with someone who has played there before it would be more enjoyable. We could not find hole one so started with hole 6. There were two different hole 7's. We found hole 4 after 7. After hole 10 we found 1, 2, and 3. Never did find 5. Coninued to play holes 11, 12, and 13 before we could not find the rest anywhere. Kind of frustrating when you a ...

Fun course with open shots, tight wooded holes and uphill distance holes.Definitely worth playing.Cement teepads and course is very clean and taken of.Donations are placed in box located by hole 1.

Once you find the tee and pins this is a beautiful course. A good mix of ahort, long (for am level), any, straight, and hyzer shots. If this course could get some cement (or any, really) tee pads and signs it would be much higher rated than it is.

Fun course but you will never know where your going if you dont have a guide with you. They need signs and teepads

I am new to this course and found it very hard to navigate! There were few "actual" tee pads and the markers are short Red posts. I did not even know where to start and confused a Octagon concrete slab for the 1st tee pad! The course needs to be marked better. I had fun and was not aware that park was the Old Fairgrounds at one time. That made it more interesting. :)

Loved it after getting a few holes! Was kind of iffy when we pulled In and saw the first tee but soon fell in love! Can't wait to come back and tear it up!

Had a really good time here. While waiting for my boy to get home in Owosso, we jetted here quick. Loved the village and how it all kind of works together. Although I would recommend having the Udisc app. I had no idea where the back part was through the Old Village, with no direction. I had to use the app. Tee Pee to catch a break under was neat, and liked the State of Michigan tee pad.

If you don't like this course it's probably because you're dumb

This course was rad. Loved walking through preserved little town from 1880s (I think) to get to the back 9. A bit buggy on the wooded holes. Liked the different teepads. Couple of holes could use some trimming and upkeep but the teepee wigwam thing was very cool and I enjoyed the course

Great hometown course. the holes on the front side flow smoothly and the backside get even better. As some people say it can be difficult to navigate through but once you get out a few times it's a piece of cake. Been playing here for 3 years now! It's a good course and the guys who keep it up are great.

2nd time going went a lot smoother but still missing holes somewhere not sure where 10 is suppose to be. Needs some type of map for sure to help show around because it is still a confusing course to walk.

I hated to give this course a C+ because it has potential with the newer holes and the planned ones for the holes across the river. But as it stands now, with dirt tees with not even a hole number marking, no signs to the next hole, numbers on the baskets that don't correspond to the hole you are on, all of this makes for a confusing round. There is a nice walk through a historic village, which I knew about from reviews, but once you get there it is up to you to search for the tee marker which ...

Has duplicate 7 holes and was a little confusing. The beginning pads are just dirt pads and were muddy and slick but the pads after hole 11 were well maintained and constructed nicely. Holes after 10 are pretty overgrown with weeds and actually lost a disc on hole 14. Wish there was a map and that the holes were marked on the small red posts next to the tee pad. I had a lot of fun here and will return and recommend it to other players.

This course is okay, but it leaves you wanting. Mostly dirt tee pads, if the tee pads are even marked. There is some nice work for the tee pads on the back nine, but the back nine are barely kept up. I like the course, but it could be a LOT better with a little more work put into it.

Great fun layout. Kinda hard to find your way for new people to the course. The back holes are out a control and completly overgrown. They are worth playing since I feel they are the best holes on the course. Bring a spotter or you'll spend ages searching. Would be a B if the back holes get a tending too.

There was no signs as where to start we were left to walk around and ask people walking by this course. Definitely needs a map show you know where Hole one is and for a few other holes as well but overall nice course

Only one tee box, no sign on the billboard at hole one(spent 30 minutes looking where to start) lack of signs. some signs but there was a 7 tee sign at the 6th basket with an arrow and never could find the teebox, Never ever did find the 9th teebox or basket after 45 minutes of looking, got lucky and noticed the small red post for the 10th teebox, thought I was done, The back eight are still being finished. I like most cosider the property your on heavily into consideration and the first 10 are ...

Fun course, could use some new tee signs. Kinda hard to find hole 1 if you haven't been there before. Fairly well marked. Fairly easy to navigate once you get started.

this course has potential to be an A rated course. there are just 2 unchangable things going against it though: 1 its a busy park with many activities taking place later in the day or weekends mainly in the front and 2 there can be some flood issues due to the river and low laying areas. over all with a good clearing through the new holes i played in the back this is an enjoyable course with world class dificulty can use spotters on several holes. natural teepads really dont affect play too much ...

Signage is improving but still hard to navigate first time (I started on 8 and would have been completely lost without the out-of-date map on dgcoursereview to show me where 9 was) and 14 & 15 are just about unplayable they are so overgrown (I skipped them). This would be an average course if it was given better care, but I did like the park for a nice stop between Flint and Kalamazoo

This course is getting better as the days go on.... Once the cement pads are in, it'll be amazing! If you haven't been here in awhile, then come on in because the back is sooooo much better than before. All of the changes make this course worth attending!!!

Nice park first time playing it..easy to get lost if u don't know ur way around..watch out for the river:(
+1 votes Becky Gilbert › July 2, 2011
Hard time finding way around and where it started. most of tee signs were in the ground. No direction on where the new 8 holes were. They were pretty rough if you got off the fairway. No scorecards. There was a not complete map in the scorecard box that was of some help.

Course is rough looking. No real grooming has been done at the park even though we are well into the beginning of summer. The constant rain in the area has left a large part of the holes under large amounts of standing water. Without the water the course would have been very much enjoyable to throw.
