I'm going to be visiting Idaho in about 2 weeks. I noticed by the excellent reviews that Lucky Peak State Park seems to be the course of choice in the Boise area. I just wanted to find out if it is easy to find your way from one ole to the next. If not, then what course would anyone recommend in the Boise area. I just don't want to spend my time being lost and trying to find my way around from one hole to the next.
Lucky Peak has 3 courses. The Sandy Point course is winter only. Lydle Gulch has the Gold (longer) and Blue (shorter) courses. I have only played a few holes on the Gold course (we quit due to muddy footing this winter). I believe the Gold course tee boxes have been completed, but I'm not ... more
One more thing: There are maps of all course available on the DG Review website. The terrain at Lydle Gulch is wild grass, sagebrush, and scattered small trees. There are no mowed fairways and it will be totally dried out this time of year. Navigation between holes is decent if you have a map. T ... more
Paul, I just got back from playing the Bogus Basin Simplot Lodge (lower) course. It was great! I highly recommend playing it when you come.
This was the only course in Boise (no offense) I was truly impressed with. The only thing is it can be an expensive venture. It's good to hear the addition of the extra baskets.
what course? there are 3 of them. one already has 21, and the other 2 have 18
the comment was for the Blue course, it's had 20 baskets all winter. i see they just put up the baskets for the gold course, It also had 20.
ahhh, didnt know they took the golds down. they probably just got em up because the winter series is up there this sat. 3/12
Paul C, you need to get up to bogus then, best two courses in idaho are up there
I agree, come on sun melt that snow!!
Terek, I'll take you up on that when I am back in the Boise. I live in Ohio. It's a very nice friendly community, and definitely want to explore some more disc golf courses.
