Thank you for clearing that up Ben. All i wanted to know to begin with was the gray area around retrieving discs out of the pond. I for one wouldn't go in, but you can be damn sure if i can reach it or retrieve it with a stick im going to. With the piece of mind that someone isn't in the bushes reporting me as stealing. All marked discs get returned- I have some that have sat here with phone numbers for 2 years unclaimed. The problem is especially this summer, some punks have been going in there and taking everything. Not calling anyone. Even sometimes taking discs AS they are thrown in and not returning them. Let me ask something, when you go golfing, do you swim in the water hazards after hitting a ball in there! I didn't think so! They'd boot your asses off the course if your caught! Same premises, not only is it a liability issue, but Wade and Ben have always called me after recovering my discs! They don't sell stolen discs! Use your heads and quit running your mouths! Be thankful you have a free course to play that is well maintained! If you don't like the rules, take ur sorry asses somewhere els ... more

Please return discs you find in the pond after trying to get your own. I can't physically enforce anything. If I have to put in a mail slot type lost found box I will. I just want everyone to get their discs back. It sucks going in and buying a new disc and getting some tree hate directly into the pond the very next round.

Second, things look more complicated by the daily task of retrieving discs out of the pond. I would hope that shop profits wouldn't be spent bringing back plastic that would hurt sales of regular store items. If you are leading this crusade of hole 13 on your own dime then i wish you all the best. Again, its for a good cause i know, but your guidelines on retrieval need to be revamped if it will ever take hold. There will be more problems with disputes and accusations as the rules stand now, rather then someone being out a disc that they shouldn't of thrown in the first place.

Ultimately this is still a game of golf, and as in ball golf you can't go to the clubhouse and ask for the 3 balls you hit in the river earlier in the day. Why make it any different. Anyway loosing a 20 dollar disc in the water is the best motivation to improve your game, avoid hazards and be a better golfer.

Its great what your trying to do but it will never happen until you fence in that pond. Yes you have a solution for now but it wouldn't hurt to try and figure out a better one. Hitler had a solution too, doesn't mean its the right one.

I'm not at doubles because I'm with my girlfriend's family (they just lost someone yesterday). I might be able to make it by tonight, but it isn't likely to be before 6:00. How do I contact someone if I make it there after-hours?

I just want to understand about hole 13. Say i am 10" off the shore, disc in full view, i could be banned for getting my hand wet to retrieve it? That doesn't seem right to me. This could be an ongoing problem until a reasonable and understandable solution is presented. Instead of the my way or the highway approach posted below. Also has anyone thought of a lockable drop box for discs on the outside of the shop for discs found after hours?

i think the water varies in color from what direction you look at it.... like that weird paint on cars that changes color
