I was very surprised to hear that this course was designed by someone who plays disc golf. It's a very poorly designed course. Tight 10' (sometimes less) wide fairways with nearly impossible angles and low ceilings on 300' holes. Course still has multiple portable/temporary baskets. Swampy terrain and not very well manicured. ZERO open holes so very little variety. Not to mention the course "opening" at 12 pm and being pay-to-play. Excellent woods course. Some holes are tighter than a typical wooded layout, but the course is very well marked and groomed. Baskets are in great condition, looked brand new. Not too difficult but very technical as I mentioned before it was tight.

The Charleston County park system just doesn’t “get” disc golf. They have let unqualified players “design” really poor courses. And they never committed to the course because the 526 road (if passed) would make it impossible to have the course there. One time I played it with a PDGA administration official, kept my mouth shut until he said “there’s not really a disc golf shot here is there?” I had to agree.
