Ira is an interesting course to rate. Holes 1 is the best hole on the course. 2 and 3 are good designs. 4 through 7 is pretty blah with 7 being an absolute travesty. You can see it is set up for a hard flex shot but there is no way to get the angle because of the overhang that was left directly in front of the pad. 8 through 12 are fun little technical shots. Unfortunately the tee pads they chose to install are horrific. The rubber they chose has no grip to it. The pads also vary in length and m ...

Nice and short nine hole course with tight fairways in the woods and a few longer open holes. Short and long dirt and carpet pads. A little creek plays into a couple holes.

Nice short course with some wooded and open shots. Cart friendly, though you don't really need a full bag here, course is pretty short. Slower discs are premium for the wooded shots and there's only maybe 3 shots over 350' and 2 are wide open. Took a minute to find hole 1, it's behind the fire station by the cell phone tower. 9 Buckets 18 tees, shorts and longs. Basket chains are light so putting needed to be toned down, had a few spit threw. Nabbed a skip ace on hole 1 short, so this co ...

Short little 9 holer, good to scratch the itch. Tee pads are made of wood chips, not the most challenging course, but still fun.

Great course to refine skills. For a short 9 hole course it has a solid mix of shot types: shorts, narrow fairways, hyzer/anhyzer woods shots, open field bombers, etc.

Good use of land. Teepads need some work. Fun little course. Rough is rough.

Decent course layout, wooded feel despite close proximity to the park. Mulch tee pads and baskets are decent, optional long tees, signage and mulch paths are nice.

Absolutely love this little course. My first course I've played on, so I was really terrible and constantly in the woods. Only nine holes but it is managed very well and has some variety. Highly recommend for people in the area. Ace Race this weekend also!

Hopefully they are adding a few new baskets soon!

This course has sentimental value for me as it was the first course I've ever played. I had no clue what I was doing and probably spent most of the time in the woods. Now that I'm better this is one of my favorites. My only complaints are these: need cement tee pads, two sets of chains (the baskets were fine just need chains), and more than just par 3's. Other than those three things there is nothing to complain about. The maintenance has gotten much better and I have not had a problem with thor ...

Really nice layout for a 9 hole course with long and short tee pads. Plenty of room to add on later. You don't feel like your playing the same hole over and over again. Vast differences in hole layouts. A left and right hand friendly course.

The course is maintained very well, surprisingly. But it's also very buggy and the tee pads are woodchips.

Solid course. I am reviewing this based off of it only being 9 holes which does kinda suck but what can you do.. I used to live next to stony creek but moved out to Algonac so I have to make do. Anyway, I did enjoy this course, nice place to practice ur mid/putting skills. Few slight elevation changes and some hook shots with a few narroways. Overall fun quick course, I'd rec running through it twice b/c it only takes 25 mins to finish. Def needs T-pads and the baskets are light on chains. Worth a look though! I'd play again.

the only thing i would fix is the tee pads, need concrete and good length tee pads, much like stoney's length. otherwise, im glad i found this close course.

The day we went, the mosquitoes were thicker than anything I've ever encountered, The course is a mix of manicured and massively overgrown, depending on which hole and where along the way. All baskets are unbroken, but they seem to be a little higher poking out of the ground than my home course (Holland Woods). The "Jesus Thorn" trees are brutal and if you lose a disc, look up! Those thorn trees catch, grab, and hold anything they can grab. I shook the trees to get mine. Also, on Hole 3 have a s ...

Very new course.... therefore well marked. Hopefully upkeep is kept up. Marked better than anyother course I have played. Short hole options, makes for beginners to play? Very unforgiving course. If not good throw light. Lots of poison ivy and thorns. Went for long drives and spent a lot of time digging threw very thick brush. Take your time and appreciate the course. There are open holes to try long drives but don't push it you will lose discs and it being a new course you won't find lost others..

Located just a 1/2 mile from Lake St. Clair. The course is a great example of how a disc golf course can be built almost anywhere. PROS: 10 custom-made baskets will bring back the old-school disc golf memories. 9 holes with duel tees will give everyone a chance to try their best shots, regardless of skill level. Not real easy or super difficult but you'll likely learn your lesson if you go off the fairways and into some thorns, poison ivy, and dense brush. Practice area coming soon ...
