awesome course alot of long par 4's and alot of accurate 350 footers this is whta disc golf should be very clean and very well manicured one of my favorites.

Great use of the lake surrounding the course. A little tease of it in the front 9 but then a little bit more water in the back 9. Course kept extremely clean and great use of the rock croppings throughout the hill side. This was my first time playing so taking walks up the fairway were necessary to find some of the pin locations.

This is the first course I've rated A+ and if you haven't played the IDGC, you need this in your life. Not because *I* say so, but because fundamentally it's a phenomenal course. It has everything you could ever want in a disc golf course, to say nothing of the profound justice it does to the legacy of "Steady" Ed Headrick and his impact on the game. Any hard-core disc golfer with the means and motivation owes it to him or herself to make the trek to Wildwood Park to take on these three outstand ...

Longest course on the grounds. Long wide fairways through the woods. Can be played with power as long as you are accurate. You will pay a price for being off your mark though. Shorter holes on the course definitely come with their difficulty on this one. Bring a snack and your "A" game for this course.

Oh wow...this course just killed me. Trust me. Play this one safely. I went for a lot on it and paid the price for it. Course has lots of awesome elevation to it on the back. Deep ravines and a little piece that buts up to the lake. Of all the courses this might have been my favorite. Only because I could play it a lot better if I had the chance to do it again. . A lot of very cool holes on this one too.

Great course. Very well marked making it quite easy to navigate. Each basket has an indicator at the bottom pointing to the next tee pad. Markers on trees also direct ot next tee pad. Tee pads are adequate size. Nice to be wider at the back in essence pointing the direction of the hole. The grounds were very well manicured. Very little trash on the course (maybe 10 cans and bottles noticed on two rounds). The lake was very low taking water out of the equation on all holes.

Beautiful facilities at the IDGC. The Headrick Course probably played the easiest of the 3 courses on the grounds. Amazing view through the first half of the course along side the lake. The back also will show off some more of the lake to you. Fairways are carved out nicely through the wooded course. There are some really awesome greens on this course that are surround by big pieces of granite and other rocks. Placement is a big must on the course. Play smart and you'll leave happy with a decent score...play it all out and you'll pay the price for it some where along the way.

My new favorite course. I loved all of the holes by the lake. Even hole 6 where I had to go against my better judgement and jump in after my favorite disc. I didn't see any snakes and the water was clear and warm. Absolutely great use of the land. I know the baskets were in the short positions for the Juniors Tournament next week but it was still a blast. This was the best day of my road trip just spending the day at IDGC! Keep up the great work guys!

Now that I have developed at least a little control, I like this course. It is very challenging because of the LOOOOOONG narrow channels you have to hit on some of the holes. I'm not fond of the uphill shots but there are some long open shots that are just plain fun. Plus the practice area of the IDGC gives you a good place to warm up so you don't have to hold up other golfers while you practice your putts and drives.

Easiest of the 3 manicured IDGC tracks. Several elevation changes on the front, multiple tees, wooded with well defined fairways, and a few holes where the river is in play make this a must play. Play #5 to the right, over the river if you have the guts as it is the best risk reward shot I've played.

This is a beautiful course. One of the best I have played overall. Plays around water for a lot of the course, the rest is played pretty much all in the woods. Plenty of elevation change, and definitely plenty of difficulty including plenty of water hazard areas. Would be a fun course for beginners (from the short tees) and pros alike.

Though many of the Red and Blue pins were confusing, some missing. The layout is an endurance and over challenge wood and water hazard. One of the more nature trail courses, one of the best so far. The water can be hazardous and the snakes and alligator sightings can be a tad scary...Be aware of snakes(copperhead, timber rattler, water moccasin), skunks, badgers.

Only #3 in Georgia? Wow, y'all must be spoiled! The ED is second only to Flip City, IMO. Admittedly, I haven't played WR orJim Warner, but, come on m,m,m,man. Has great variation to accommodate all styles of throwing. R. H. , L. H. , B. H. , or F. H. seems to be a line for everyone. Can't wait to play the other two.

Only got to play the course once in-between tournament rounds, I was just a caddy, but it was breathtaking. Great elevation and wooded holes. I loved the challenge I got from this course and can not wait to go back. Love the back holes by the water, a bit more open, but still a challenge to keep your disc dry.

Very technical course, extremely fun to play, LOTS of trees! Accuracy is critical. Late August has a lot of spiders off the fairways making webs between nearly every tree, so if you throw off course, wave a stick in front of you and keep an eye out or you'll get a face full of web and probably a crab spider or orb weaver on you. Super fun to play!

You need a course to whip your noodle arm into shape?? ... play this one. You would've thought I'd learn my lesson on the front nine and start throwing accurate drives. Drives other than that will punish you. Most times if you end up off the fairway..you're pitching out to continue your trek toward the basket. Not sure if I was supposed to but I played the creek out of bounds. The slope of the hill around the creek will really make you talk to your disc about not rolling when she lands. Had a great time finishing up my day on WR Jackson.

It was a another great course at IDGC, it was definitely a monster to play though, I recommend this one to play first out of the three not last like I did it or your arm will be killing you. I liked the great use of the land and the fairways that were almost hidden. I did get a slight feeling of not quite having enough land to put the course in because some fairways were so close to each other you actually end up taking the same path to walk to your disc from 3 different holes and then hole 18 ...

Pros;
- well designed forest course,
- course map, scorecards and layout sheets by the entrance to the first tee for each of the three courses,
- tee signs and benches on each hole,
- grooved cement tee pads 12 feet long, wider near the back part,
- most holes with a variety of lines to the baskets,
- a premium on shaping your shots,
Cons;
- a few long walks between 7 & 8, 9 & 10, and 13 & 14. (W. R. Jackson)

The only thing keeping me from giving this a high rating is that it only has one tee option. It is a very long course, Par 69 for 18, and the long tee shots are brutal if your not an experienced player able to throw long in the woods with accuracy.

Unbelievably tough course that offers very little redemption. So many shots require a lot of luck, and the course is too tough to provide much luck. Sweet Course. Completely wooded and fair/challenging layout as all the IDGC courses are. Smooth but challenging front nine. Level with some nice bending fairways. Next you hit the back nine and the elevation kicks in. And it gets hard. Strategy is a must. I always look back and say I could have played it much smarter. What a fun course with about every line and shot you can imagine.

Hole 8 especially great, I just sat on the bench and stared at the hole for about 20 minutes just cause it looked so great. It was a nice place to go just for a fun round. I had a blast and it wasn't too easy but it wasn't kick your butt hard either. Nice relaxing day. Not as good as Steady Ed Memorial but great fun anyway.

The mid-length of the 3 IDGC tracks. Builds your confidence starting out with 7 short, finesse/dog legs until it adds in some elevation and length to reign you back to earth. By the middle of the back 9 you'll be humbled like a beginner when you hit the 617 ft uphill PAR 4 that plays like a 5 and that is only if you miss the blind revine on your tee shot. This course kicked my ass!

A well planned, strategic laid course that allows the front nine holes to be played with fairly easy to find tees and flagged pins. The back nine, will be hills, up and down...endurance, determination and one tough attitude will see you through

I have been told this is a intermediate championship course and I would agree to that leaning toward the avanced side. It has IMO extreme elevation

Perfect medium between the easy Steady Ed and the impossible WR Jackson. Attainable, but still challenging.

Definitely the worst of the three courses at IDGC. Overall too much reliance on the gimmick of adjusting play due to elevation changes.

First tournament at IDGC campus in Appling. Shot the best round of my career , +6 . Course is a bit rough with roots , hills, ravines, water holes but a challenging an fun time. I can’t say that about Jim Warner!

Insanely long course (avg ~500 ft holes) at the IDGC. If you can't throw it 350+ it is going to be a VERY long day. Wide, manicured fairways have you grippin' and rippin' it only to end up pitching 90 deg out of the thick woods just to get back in play. A 900 ft figure 8 will wear you out. Better score in the middle of the back 9, its the only opportunity you'll have. Just too long for me.

One of the most incredible courses I have ever played. Not a single basket is put in the wrong place, the tee pads are great, the course is beautiful. Go play this course. You won't play well but you will love every second of it. Separates the men from the boys that's for sure.

If your not experienced at least Advanced player you have no business on this course other than the enjoyment of taking a severe ass whooping . Ravines, elevation changes, water holes, climbing in an out of ravines enough trees to go around. With all that being said , I’d rather play wooded course than open any day because it gives you practice on narrow fairways. TAKE AWAY THE NEGATIVES and it’s a great course. Fun? NOT HARDLY lol!

By far the most frustrating course at IDGC. Bring a map cuz the layout is whack, lots of elevation change and trees everywhere.
