When does the Picnic course get pulled?
Mike "Some Guy" Even March 15, 2011 at 8:19pm
Either the Local 101 or the park has started some maintenance. Nice fresh patch of wood chips between Hole's 3/13 & 4/12. Cheers! White Tee Hole #4, #7 and a few others have potential to become flooded being at the bottom of a hill.

I'll be shoveling pads at Indy at noon, blacks and whites.

I come up Merril to Valentine to Jennings. A little less on the potholes at least, but yeah, Jennings

Lol, that is a automatic canned response. If you want to get anything done you need someone's direct email addy or phone #.
And if you think that road is bad I can name 5 more that are way worse. As scott said, there are tons of dirt roads in washtenaw and many get quite F'd up.
Scott White March 8, 2011 at 4:34pm
Nice!
Mike "Some Guy" Even March 8, 2011 at 3:47pm
Wow...I was surprised to see this response. Hopefully they grade both roads in the next few days!

Subject: RE: Dirt roads around the boarder, Kearny Road & Jennings Road (near Whitmore Lake)
Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. A Service Request has been entered today and our District Foreman Mike Mastie will investigate.

Nearly half the roads in Washtenaw County are dirt (over 700 miles worth), so in the spring there is always a lot of work for the road commission. I will say that it does eventually get graded every year. Good call on being the 'squeaky wheel' though hopefully that puts Jennings on the top of their priority list. ;)

I unfortunately I live right off of Barker, so for me to go around is a waste of energy, but great suggestion Scott. I would recommend that route as well. When I play Bandy, I shot up to the Indy the same way. Indy is just a short jog off of N. Territorial from that direction. I was pretty stern with the WCRC and I plead my case as it's hurting revenue not only for the park but for Washtenaw County. Maybe a light bulb will go off above some managers head and they'll send a truck to grade.
Scott White March 8, 2011 at 9:24am
Take N. Territorial to Jennings. It is a much shorter drive on the dirt roads. That is usually what I do unless I know the roads to be in good shape.
Mike "Some Guy" Even March 8, 2011 at 9:22am
Just a heads up to anyone heading out to Indy......the road conditions getting to and from the course are (pardon my French) FUCKING HORRIBLE!!!! As a resident of Washtenaw County not only am I pissed my tax dollars are failing miserably but I was down right embarrassed. The condition of Kearny Road & Jennings Road are the worst I have ever seen. Parts of Jennings Road are almost washed out & flooded. If you take Kearny (between Barker & Whitmore Lake Rd) there are pot holes that will swallo ... more

Anyone know how the conditions are??
Lance Bayliss March 7, 2011 at 11:05am
Sweet leaving in an hr to head out. Thx scawt.
Scott White March 7, 2011 at 11:02am
We played Saturday.. White tees are all clear, blacks are mostly snow/ice covered. The pond on 6 is back. It was very playable.

I'll be at Indy at noon shoveling pads. Cash game? Rivalries? Anyone coming along? Look for Jantilla smeared on a disc? Where's Waldo?
Scott White March 7, 2011 at 6:56am
