When I was there, they still had folks at the gate and that around 7pm. Shame to see Indy take a hit, even with the gate being manned. Was only a matter of time though before the "Cass"uals found our little slice of DG heaven :/

Think I finally realize how bad the Mosquitos can be at Indy.. wow. In other news, yesterday I came up on hole 12 white tee sign smashed on the pad. looked like I was the first to play it since it had happened. There was one group walking off the course as I was walking on. Seemed like likely offenders. Two white males one short one medium height both pudgy with one female medium height overweight with light red hair. They were driving an older Lincoln mark viii style vehicle. Definitely ... more

...a somewhat official notification from the superintendent of Independence Lake County Park:

"The Group Center project start day has been postponed until March (exact date has not been set yet). With this said, I hope to install the picnic course until construction starts."

What this means right now is that the Picnic Course should go back in the ground for Union Strikes on October 15th, and be playable for most of the winter 2011/2012!

I'm not sure sugar is the flies favorite flavor. I think they more enjoy the taste of ****. I figure that's why I got so many bites.

Some of us have real Jobs Swider. I was unable to get a hall pass yesterday, so I'm hoping to get one today. I won't be there until after 5pm though :P

Yeah, I tried the garlic & onions, and it was having the wrong effect. Was keeping the wife away and daddy needs some lovin' :D

Will anyone be playing here today? I'd like to get a round in before work at 5. I'm thinking at 11 or 12?

It is a 25 hole layout that plays within the existing 18 track, using the long teepads on a few holes. It's just a temporary thing we are trying out... Kind of radical, no? :)

The stinkier you are, the less any biting insect wants a piece of you.

Add garlic and onions to your diet!! Keeps the vampires away too.......

Nice, they mowed out the new holes? Sweet!!! And yes, Zak is correct, Black Flies are horrible. I'm not having much luck, no matter how much bug spray I put on, but I might taste like sugar. Haven't been bringing the goober because the flies are so thick. Has anyone suggested to the park about getting some Bat Boxes? Bat's will eat all those flies right up ;)
