Talked to a surveyor who was marking up the front 9 today and he says a new path is going in from the street to connect to the path by the restrooms. Fencing behind 5's basket and 6's tee has been removed along with the fencing to the right of 2's tee. Appears the path is marked to be behind 5/6 and come into the park between 7's basket and 8's tee. Looks like it will be in the right side of the line of lines on 8's fairway and come down behind 3's tee and along the right of 2's fairway. Personally not looking forward to their being foot traffic through there. Oh well...

They have had this planned for a few years, they contacted the club and everything is worked out in terms of not destroying the course. But there will be foot traffic now.

Mike Hammontree   June 10, 2016 at 8:58pm

They should have gone wider to the right from hole #8. Anyone who turns a disc over those trees will be throwing over that path.

Exactly why the back 9 needs cut in.

Just a heads up, tomorrow (Sat. 6/11/16) at 2:30 there's going to be 16 new players (some are kids) playing the course. The course is still open and they will be instructed to let faster players play through, but it will be a little crowded for about 2 hours.

Cheers!

Tried to get a round in today before the rain returned and was on hole #15 when a group of idiot knuckleheads decided to vandalize the tee sign on 16 by either kicking it or throwing the trash can at it.

Walked over to 16 and took pics of the damaged sign (Bent frame and broken plexiglass) when I heard and saw them trying to do the same to 14's sign. Scared them off and got the cops out there who were talking to the group of guys when I left. The one officer had me send him the photos.

Not cool at all.

Received a follow up from the officer that the juviniles were identified and admitted to damaging the park property. I hope that means they will have to make restitution to pay for the damages.

Bill "The Ninja" Savage   May 21, 2016 at 3:39pm

Good thing you were out there to catch the punks! Hopefully they will be prosecuted and pay for the damages. They still haven't caught the basterds who vandalized Painesville, as they ripped the signs out completely on a couple of holes!

Uncle Kaka   May 21, 2016 at 9:59pm

Leads, yeah sure. I'll uh, just check with the boys down at the Crime Lab. They uh, got uh, four more detectives working on the case. They've got us working in shifts.

Just an FYI, there's going to be 16 new players playing a very loose single disc style tourney on June 11 starting at 2:30. The course may be a little crowded for a few hours that day. It's really just a bunch of friends learning the sport in a foursome style round. They'll be instructed to let faster groups play through.

FOUND: A disc on hole 15. I can barely read the name, looks like "Gannen". I can only make out a few numbers in the phone number, not enough to make a guess. If this is yours, contact me.
