Matthew Hull 58 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Happy 4th of July to everyone out there! :) My friend Michael was certainly chomping at the bit to enjoy some disc golf together after our being away for all of June so we went out and had some fun @ Gulley Park with a plethora of his friends. And it was honestly a very enjoyable round (we just won't talk about #9 and how I three putted there...lol). It was very warm (upper 80's) with a light breeze and my Star Beast was hitting wonderful lines all afternoon! I managed to thread the needle nicely on hole #2, hit an awesome line on #3 (should have made the 15-20 ft. putt), and had wonderful drives on #10 and 11 (made a superb 35-40 ft. putt on #11 to redeem myself a bit)! My Shield hit a good enough line on the tricky 140 ft. hole #6 (made a nice 15 ft. putt there), My Blue Bomber Buzzz nailed the line on #12 (first throw in a month for that disc...too bad I missed the 15 ft. putt), and my play was, for the most part, quite good! Upshots were a bit wimpy at times (laid up way too much) as were my putts and I definitely left a good 4-5 throws/putts out there. Still, this score beat my previous one by one stroke so I'll take it. I finished 2nd today though as Tim (who literally throws ONLY a freaking Stingray) beat all of us with a -15! What he can do with a Stingray is jaw-dropping at times and I don't think he missed a putt all afternoon (he nailed a long 40-50 footer as well). He played a virtually perfect round so I'll take my silver trophy and shoot for gold next time. ;)"

Matthew Hull 59 - Regular tees, 18 holes "Well, other than having an absolute train-wreck putting exhibition, this was a very enjoyable round with a fun group of friends. My buddy Michael S. and several of his friends played @ Gulley Park today and Michael invited me to join so...why not, right? Well, while my drives were actually quite solid today, my Roach had a truly historic day in the sense that it couldn't hit chains to save its life (or mine!) It started with me hitting the bottom lip on several holes in a row (15-20 ft. range too...gotta hit those!) And you know how that goes. You start to adjust and suddenly you are hitting the top band of the basket. Then you are hitting the pole and bad luck happens (like when you come inches from getting a deuce only to watch the disc miss and roll all the way down a hill behind some trees giving you NO look at a 3). That was pretty much my day from a short range standpoint. My Star Beast was really solid though and my finest drive of the day was on #17 (I did make that 15 ft. putt too!) I also played well on #18 and amazingly, I darn near tied my friend Michael who won the round at -10 (I finished at -9 course par.) Now to be fair, course par is REALLY generous here as my round certainly did not feel like a -9 whatsoever. It was overcast and cool (felt great today) but the wind was definitely a factor at times. My Evidence was about to hit a glorious line on #10 when the wind pushed that sucker straight down into the ground. Like I said, it was simply a hard luck round. But I enjoyed it (at times!) ;)"
