Love to play this fun course w/ some of the best people around. Always have an absolute blast coming to the GSF! Love the Forest too! Couldn't ask for better views on the course as well being chocked full of ace runs!!! Don't be fooled by the shortness. The back nine's tightness to go with wind & massive elevation change on the front 9. I hope you make it to GSF & thoroughly enjoy the course like we do!

Great course with great variation in technical play. From elevation to woods this course has it all.

Course is a mix of open and wooded holes. I do wish they were truly mixed, unfortunately the front 9 are in the open field (which can get tall), and back 9 wooded. The course plays on the technical side requiring good shots to score. Brand new concrete tees. Right now only a single tee per hole. I hope they come up with another set. Considering how much property there is it could have been the home to a true championship course.

A gem in the mountains!

The front 9 is open fields that has moderate elevation changes. Wind comes into play on several holes. Brushed cement pads on all 9 holes and fields stay trimmed well

Back 12 are technical wooded holes with original 9 having cement pads and added 3 have crushed rock. Moderate to high elevation changes that are easy to traverse. Two par 4's that add distance and challenge players to hit their lines.

Total distance 5570 on 21 hole par 65
Original 18 is 4450 par 55

Its is a nice home course and is beginner friendly and challanges better players as well. Well maintained and easy access from I-64 make it a can't miss place to play. Its 18 holes and full 18 basket layout ,not what the heading says. I

Fun easyish course set in the beautiful mountains of West by God Virginia. Front nine are mostly open holes with a few tricky shots. Back nine is shorter with mostly wooded holes with many trees in your way. This is a good course for a beginner as most holes have par and birdie opportunities for the learning player. Only down side is the gravel tees. Concrete would make this course nicer.
