Went on a mini disc golf tour of Des Moines, this was easily my favorite course. Had a great selection of shots, elevation changes, and just enough rough to make it fun but not frustrating.

This is one of the nicest courses I've ever played. The park it's in is beautiful, having started as an arboretum. There are some truly scenic, memorable holes, especially on the back nine, where things open up and the topography varies more (the front is mostly in the same grove of trees on the same slope). #10, #15, and #16 come to mind especially. There are two different tee boxes for every hole, and three possible basket positions. Choose your tee with care: my second time here, I playe ...

It's a pretty park. Lots of trees in the front nine. You hear the "thwock" of discs all around you. The curses of frustrated players. It requires skill. The back nine is more open, but get out your distance drivers. It takes a big arm to par consistently.

Picturesque and challenging, Ewing is the gem of south Des Moines. It is truly one of the best courses in the state.

The course is always well maintained and very playable. This course is definitely a challenge. Between the wooded areas in the front 9 and the breezy open back 9, this course has a little of everything.

This course is one of the original disc golf courses in Iowa when the sport was at its infancy. It has a lot of technicalities, they have hosted hundreds of thousands of PDGA tournaments here. Its a fun course that will remind you to fine tune your skills.
