Short and beginner friendly open and lightly wooded layout with pretty good variety, mild elevation an OB road and parking lot. Dirt pads and tee posts. Clean and maintained course. The church welcomes disc golfers with water and restroom facilities.

I am a beginner disc golfer only one year into playing this sport. Located on the east side of Battle Creek,Michigan heading towards Marshall lies this nine basket single natural teepad disc golf course on the property of Dexter Lake Church. I enter this course into the low-level practice course division and it really just is a practice course that offers a little bit of a challenge especially to a beginner like me. A couple of signs missing, and course is pretty much wide open, except for one hole where you shoot into some trees to a protected basket. Good for some practice if you lived nearby, I guess.

Not very well marked and a very vanilla course. No unique or must play holes.

Pros: Easy to navigate once you find the start. You will start over by the church garage/shed. Great to see a church embrace disc golf and open it up to the public.
-GREAT use of space to create holes that are mildly challenging.
-Good mix of Hyzer/Anhyzer holes.
-Grass is mowed and course well kept. Seems to drain well. Baskets are in pretty good shape.
-Very low chance to lose a disc. No water holes.
-Not too many people seem to use the course, and it flows pretty well.

It's not a bad course , biggest problem is that the baskets are all laid in the ground at different levels, drives me nuts,,, also the chains are different on some of the baskets single ring some double,, I wish I knew why they did this....

Mainly wide open..If you have a big arm, the birdies are there..
