Awesome course espically with the t pads in. Good mixture of holes and variety. Some cool water shots and downhill shots. If you get the chance a must play, with Bentley baskets and new pads. Only con I can really say is a couple big walkouts. So be ready for those.

I recently played the Camp Fire Open which included Canyon View camp's full 18 hole course. The event was ran perfectly. Scores were put in fast and prompt! The course itself is really fun. There is a great mix of long and short as well as needing multiple shots in your arsenal to slay this course. With that I believe this course is a prime example of a layout where the very experienced players can maximize, down to the beginner players that can have a fun course to navigate without being overwhelmed. If you haven't had a chance to pop in an play you really should!

I loved the course it is a great layout and has several shots that challenge your skills by having to shot down hill and across water. Will deff play again.

I thought this was a great course, it literally has just about every type of hole you would want on a course. I cant wait to play it again when the tee pads are finished it will just make it that much better.

This course has a great variety of technical holes wile using the terrain very well. With Tee-pads I would happily grade this course an A. Not too open, Not too wooded, Not too far from Salem to call it a local course. Gladly adding Canyonview to the D.O.R.C.s schedule.

skies the limit with this course, great start with a little input from all who visit it can be # 1 in the valley.whole four I would cut in a heizer shot over the steep slope for those who dare but make it tight, also I would cut a cleaner shot to the basket on the cliff shot next to bus, fun for now but to easy to birtie may get old,but aces never get old, can't wait to come back to play and help on construction projects

Lots and lots of potential. Has almost every golf shot" Some of the trails are a little sketchy when wet. Walkouts are long for a few of the holes. No tee pads is not fun. All in all I will go back once some more work gets done there. Had a whole lot of fun that day.

Canyonview DGC has just about everything you could ask for in a course. Everything from straight narrow windows, extreme elevation, water, great pin locations, ect. The only reason I rated this course a B+ is cause it is Brand new and is lacking tee pads and tee signs. I would easily rate canyonview an A+ once tees are completed and maybe a little more brush clearing.

Super fun new course. has every kind of shot you can think of. once the teepads get installed and theres some signage plus some foot traffic this course will up there with taloali and keizer. but since there arent any teepads and some Crazy walkouts and some Crazy trails this course is only a B right now. teepads needed for over water shots so less discs end up in lake because mudpit of a teepad causes poor throws. with the couple water shots a net system or some sort of retrieving system needs ...

AMAZING PIECE OF LAND AND GREAT COURSE, I believe the layout could flow a lil better ,clearing around/behind baskets, couple walkout trails cut and a lil leveling of the t-pads would be the most this course needs. I for 1 don't want to see concrete t-pads poured into such a naturaly beautiful place! this place has it all from typical Oregon old growth huge trees to tight lil trees, open long throwns, technical fairways, elevation changes with thrown going down to the basket as well as throwns go ...

I agree with a lot of what Kyle Groff says. Bringing in the water as a bigger hazard would be nice. Would love to see a couple holes added to the (sw?) hills into and up into the woods. Yes upper hill needs mowing and tee signs would be great. But this place has GREAT POTENTIAL!!!

The temporary layout was a ton of fun. There's a really good mix of elevation, water hazards, trees, and wooded areas for hazards. The distance of the holes varies quite a bit as well. The holes range from somewhere between 150ft - 450ft(not sure how long the real bomb hole was.) So you get some tightly wooded-big turning putter shots, some tree-lined well defined grassy fairways to rip through, and even a wide open downhill bomb to open up on. There is definitely a little bit of everything on t ...
