Scott Ransley 63 - Long tees, 18 holes "Course is a lot more cleared out than last year. Nice big cement tee pads. Looks like they cleared the fairways with a bulldozer. Kind of feels like you are playing in a construction zone with all the tire tracks, but when those fade out, it will look nice. Overall this is the best set of challenging, fun, wooded holes in the state. Most of the pins were in the long position, except 16, which I think was short(though it is still 600 feet). Long search on 14 for a nuke that someone wormed its way under a log."Monday, August 27, 2012

David Hedstrom 57 - Long tees, 18 holes "Some great shooting I think, especially for my first time at the course. Hole 1 was tough and I really couldn't get my drives where I wanted them till about half way through the course but my upshots and putting were both right on the money. Banged a 50+ ft putt on 5 to save 3. Missed my drive on holes 7 and 8 and got 4's. 9 I threw a great drive but was still 50 out and chained out of the hop-putt. 10 was just a goofy hole. 11 was straight forward. Parked 12. Hole 13 was IMO the most difficult hole on the course: short on my drive, good second shot left me 100ft out and right, bad layup left me circles edge and under a pine tree which yielded a 2 putt. PARKED the piss out of hole 14, 360' massive turnover, sick. Banged a 60' putt on 15 to save par. Crushed my drive on 16 ("the cathedral"), nice and easy second shot left me 65 feet short and left, easy approach to card a 4. Had a sick nasty drive on 17 and I was still 45 feet out, missed it. Hit the chastity belt on 18 for a near Ace. Overall, great first experience at Big Bend, played memorial day weekend and finished in just over 90 minutes (when you play here you will realize that was hauling ass)."Saturday, May 19, 2012

Steve Hedstrom 68 - Long tees, 18 holes "Fun round today with Rayce (85) and my 2nd time shooting Big Bend. Much more enjoyable round today with not having to carry the portable pin and not 90 degree temps. My favorite shots of the day were my 4 on 13 (par 4 600+ feet) were there is a 300 foot shot off the pad straight though the woods then a 90 degree left turn and another 300 feet through the woods to the pin. We star birdied 18! Good to see the course getting some play and paths getting broken in."Saturday, September 3, 2011

Lisa Harbour 56 - Long tees, 18 holes "This round was actually short tees (played the round with Leonard Johnson - his first time playing the shorts) to I believe the short basket placements. I was thankful to play the shorts since the longs looked really tough! The course is great so check it out folks. Leonard Johnson is the man!"
