AK Discer 49 - Regular tees (1-18), 18 holes "Not a fan of this course overall....at all. Some holes provide no golf shot from the "advanced" tees. Hole three is a stupid mess with the mote in front of it. A local told me there used to be hellatious bushes there, but they had major bee problems. So the DG club in their infinite wisdom build a deep mote instead. It is way nasty water too, nfw would you want to go in there unless you had a bio-suit. The flow of the course is not very good, so I was wandering around a bit.
Let me put it this way, if i was stuck in Barfield and wanted to play DG, I'd rather drive 40 mins to Nashville and play there. I did have an ace run and I shot from the harder tees. Also, they have a beginner 9 hole circuit which is cool for newbies, but the way that is setup is strange and wasn't about to try and figure it out. I was actually irritated for a good part of the course.
To be fair it did have a few dope holes. I think 17 is the signature hole and the coolest one. Check out the reviews on dgcr.com if you want to read more, the first 2 or 3 reviews pretty much nail the course.....minus the bias for the folks that have it as a home course."
