If they had more trash cans, benches sprinkled throughout the course, and gold-layout tee pads, I would give it an A+. New tee signs on the 18-hole layout, are a nice touch. I am really pleased with the five new permanent hole additions. You can now play a 23 hole game, or play the Gold Layout, as a result. The city performs constant upkeep and cleanup on this course. A solid course!

I love this course, it reminds me of Founders Park in Oak Cliff. I really enjoy all the technicality and elevation change.

Alex Clark Memorial is a good course for all levels. For beginners to disc golf, it offers a shorter yet technically challenging course. Most baskets are reachable with a midrange disc. The hazard of the creek is a challenge even for experienced players, which makes the course enjoyable for anyone. Intermediate players will want to push themselves to finish under par, encouraging those players to "graduate" to Towne Lake, just one mile away. My only criticism is that hole 16 is more challenging ...

Super short course. Great for putters and midranges even for a beginner/intermediate player. Technical, but fun. This course is always PACKED with people who are learning so please be patient. It's a fun course that is incredibly well maintained by the city. If you are looking for more of a challenge, Towne Lake is literally across the highway ~3 minute drive parking lot to parking lot.

Wilson Creek. 1st play was 08/08/92. Tourney ran by Eric B. Hill R.I.P. I took 4th and wrote it all on the backside of a 196g prototype bar stamp zephyr I won - "Opening Day McKinney Golf Course".
Renamed out of respect and love to Alex Clark Memorial.
fun fact - before this, there are some City Of McKinney stamped putters super rare plastic. I dont have any.

Pros: -The tee boxes are great. Love the triangle concrete tee pads.
-Old growth trees add some challenge.
-Meandering creek is a significant deterrent to being aggressive.
-Multiple ace run chances.
-Good place for a quick round.
-Friendly locals that helped us navigate.
-Well worn-in course
Cons: -Older goals
-Tee signs missing and vandalized in spots.
-Very short from concrete tees. I did not use a distance driver all day.
-I saw no welcome map and layout was a bit confusing.
-Ho ...

A bit shorter than I had hoped, but overall pretty good. Quite a bit of straight holes with some difficult trees peppered in. Also seemed prone to flooding, but it wasn't anything I couldn't work around.

Short holes but very fun for a quick round or beginners. It was a little busy the day I played it but not horrible. The locals said it does get the most traffic usually from the chucker crowd but that's to be expected. It has a fairly easy layout to navigate and the amount of ace runs for even a short thrower like me was fun. I'd play it again if I'm in the area and want an easy round.

Well kept, wooded, short course. Threw a putter on most holes. It wasn't the most challenging course, it was a Fun course, lots of ace/birdie chances, tests your ability to hit your window and decent shot variation.

Nice course, pretty short and technical, easily a 9-10 under par on a good day.

Very short course to test your accuracy. doesnt get to crowded from what i heard great course has a vareity of shots. I only needed a driver on one hole the rest were putters and midranges

I love this course, but with that said its just simply too easy. Many ace runs and just a couple of challenging shots from the tee pad. A blast to play and a confidence booster, but no signs plus extra easy design brings down the score

Very nice course with pretty short holes. Creek comes into play on a few holes and if you find yourself in it then you might have problems, the bank is very steep and after it rains it can be very muddy.

A good goal for this course is 15 under. I like the tall trees providing much shade, and one must navigate through many to stay on course. The creek is a doozy with steep banks and deep murky water in some areas. The holes are short and simple. It's conviently located next to McKinney's other course right on the other side of the highway.

First round on course with rival ron leading me the way.
Pros: nice layout around drop-off water hazard, clean park, lots of ace and birdy tee's lots of trees, and will improve your tight game
Cons: kinda muddy, lots of traffic although very friendly, lots of risk of disc loss, Ron and his boys lost 3 on this round and its like don't even think about getting it back.
impression: very cool and awesome park to play that will force you to totally dial in every shot even though short lots of consequences to pay if you misfire one. .
