Thanks for passing on the word about helping with the tees at Portage Lakes, but no concrete plants are open this morning (Sat., 4/14), so we can't put in any tees today. Stay tuned and we'll let you know when we can try again. Carl

I'm fine with not smoking. Those babies can't make it 5 miles down the road without lighting up. Lung killers.
Mitch Renwick April 13, 2012 at 9:35pm
I'm cool with Deer Lakes first, meet at your place? depending on how many are going, and who is driving, I may be able to drive. just no smoking in either of my vehicles, and I know not many would be thrilled with that.
eric centanni April 13, 2012 at 7:10pm
Deer lakes first then. Post up here if you want a ride.

Scratch the seriousness, apparently it's a fundraiser, that happens to be PDGA sanctioned. I'm not sure how many people will be there playing. Guess I'll leave it up to the masses to decide on what to do.

Just heard from Scott Hartle they are having some type of course championship at Moraine on Sunday... They are playing 2 rounds, but the first is the only PDGA rated round. Tee off at 10AM. May want to rethink meeting @ Moraine and hit up Deer Lakes first.
eric centanni April 13, 2012 at 12:49pm
Me you and katie right now. We will see who else wants to go.
Jon DeCapua April 13, 2012 at 12:49pm
i would be out there at portage saturday with you guys but i'm registered for a tourny down in c-bus. i might be down for the moraine trip if my arm (or your tire) isn't about to fall off.
Mitch Renwick April 13, 2012 at 12:40pm
I'm in for the Moraine/Deer Lakes trip Sunday. Whats the driving situation looking like?
katie meloy April 6, 2012 at 1:17pm
Actually, you can't lick them with your helmet on. It gets in the way and you have to slide it back in order to be able to reach. Unless you have a tongue like Gene Simmons. Then that's a whole nother ball game. And.. you can't step on whipped cream.
eric centanni April 6, 2012 at 8:39am
You cant lick the windows without your helmet.
We will be there.
Christopher Carver April 6, 2012 at 8:04am

Small events generally do not promote things, which is the point of what they are doing. Small events help players improve, bigger ones have a better chance of drawing a crowd, has the possibility of bringing an interest to bystanders who are already at the park, and gives an excuse for new people to come out. At least i think that is kind of where they're coming from.

Scott Stokely ran a doubles league as he travelled across the country back in 97'. Paid out with plastic instead of cash, but was his way of providing for himself as he travelled. Though it would be good to explain for those that weren't playing back at that time. He gave an instructional clinic along with running the doubles. Unfortunately when he was in Canton, his back was injured, so he couldn't participate, but was a lot of help in teaching others proper throwing techinques.
