On Friday, Jerry, Mitch, and I dug 1 & 10 long, 10 short, and 4 short. Jerry cut 3 short, 5 short, 6 short, and 6 long on Sunday. I smoothed, leveled, and tamped these. 6 long may need a little more dirt. I did the best I could building up along the lake side with the dirt Jerry left behind.

Thanks again I'm coming out Monday after work @6 to fix forms and install what we got. Then play glow

Dr. T    August 12, 2013 at 7:49pm

Moved the dirt from digging 7 short last weekend to the front of the pad, then leveled and tamped. Front to back of tee on 7 short is now about 12 feet. Dug out 7 long and saved all the sod. The sod is placed along the side by the bushes for possible use later to clean up around the tee pads once they are poured.

for those interested here's the reply i got from the parks department a couple weeks ago. http://i.imgur.com/QNkhHlH.png?1 i guess since it was popular 20 years ago it must be popular now, not like you guys added a disc golf course there or anything.

Nice except the part it said I was in agreement. I got told how it was gonna be that's it. Guess I need to write my own letter. Thanks for the link please if you have been turned away from enjoying Wingfoot Lake state park please contact the Ohio State Park department in reference to Wingfoot Lake state park. i've always thought it was the parks policy to not turn anyone away from the park.

Allen Graves   July 29, 2013 at 10:40am

How long did it take for that response letter? I sent my letter in two weeks ago and haven't had a response yet.

Allen Graves   July 30, 2013 at 11:46am

Got a response today from Wingfoot concerning driving range; it was word for word the exact same response as posted above.

Jay Kovach   December 20, 2012 at 8:30am

Sounds good mitch I will post on here tonight how it goes today

Mitch G   December 20, 2012 at 11:29pm

I am unsure what you mean by that. Do you still need any assistance tomorrow morning?

Jay Kovach    October 8, 2012 at 3:51pm

Did some more trimming on new hole 8 white tee area which is behind hole fives basket through the gate on top of the hill. Sunk the kick board in the ground on hole three white and bumped it a bit more towards the road. Still lots to do if we are to play both tees for the Haunt at the Hangar on the 27 th of this month if not we will play just the regular course. Your assistance is appreciated. Wednesday and thursday I have off and will be trying to get some sleeves in the ground as well as some more kick boards.

!!!!COME ONE COME ALL!!!!

Hudson Springs Disc Golf Course now has 18 brand new 4’ x 12’ concrete tee pads.

Come help us celebrate this awesome accomplishment.

Next Tuesday August 28th at 6:00pm, we will have our first weekly scramble on the new pads. It would be sweet to break those puppies in with a 35+ scramble.

The format will be the same as always $5 + $1 optional ace fund.
The Ace Fund is at $300 with a back up at around $60.

Really thats a neat idea if clubs sponsored tee pads and then gave directions to thier course on the sign.

Jay Kovach    June 16, 2012 at 8:31am

Sure, and as long as it don't get vandalized. What your really buying is a tee pad simple as that we are doing the work, as a bonus you get noticed on the tee sign and maybe the main sign one day. For now most holes are up for grabs.
