Update:

So alot of us that work together have started inventory and are now working longer hours, as a result this weeks "Keep it Clean" events will be postponed till this coming weekend....club and league members are more than welcome to continue work party efforts on their own accord during the break....holes 14 and 15 will be our next targets....and the ace pot currently sits at $17 to be added to the next "Keep it Clean" event total buy ins...should make a pretty nice payout if we get an ace...thank ... more

News Flash!

Introducing the "Keep It Clean!" series!!!......this will be a weekly or bi weekly series of events that will consist of a 1 hour work party and 1 hour ace race on different holes throughout the loo...anyone can come participate and you don't have to do work party to throw in ace race but it would be nice to have a bunch of peeps helping...minimum $2 entry fee (gets you 20 ace attempts)....all players will rotate every 2 shots until all have thrown all 20 shots if there is extra time still avail ... more

Club Event 5-25-13 (wing & fling #8)

This will be a B.Y.O.P. doubles stroke play event with a $15 per team buy in (includes $2 for ace pot....$3 for ctp's.....$10 payouts) and as usual all league members will pay an addition $1 per person. We will have a full cash payout for top placing teams including a cash ctp prize for each division. Final results will be based on total score for each team after all rounds are played. The format will be as follows:
1 round on the "Quick 9" layout (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,18) and "Mini Loo" layout (1,2,3,6,9,10,16,17,18,) totaling 18 holes
1 round on the "Safari Front" layout (Alt Tees on front pins) totaling 12 holes

This will be a 30 hole par 90 event with a break after first 18 while safari is set up.
Players will be using best disc....both players throw...no splitting...no mandos (except for Safari Front Layout)...no OB ...play it where it lays.
Cards will consist of 2 or 3 teams grouped by divisions and will have a shotgun start.

We will also have a "ring of fire" (free to enter) and prize raffle with a few sweet new discs...tickets will be $1=1 $5=7 $10=15 suggestions for raffle discs are welcome.

Club Event 5-12 (wing & fling #7)

This will be a cali style singles 27 hole stroke play format with a $10 buy in (includes $1 ace pot and $2 ctp's/long putt entries) we will have 3 divisions and each will have a separate ctp hole with prize payout and full cash payout for top finishing entrants in event. There will be 2 long putt holes as well which will include all divisions and have a prize payout. As always all league members will have an addition $1 fee. This will be a show and throw style start lasting from 10 am till 11 am ... more

This event will also feature some "easy tees" available for $1 per hole on 5 holes (4,10,12,17,18) and if you buy all 5 you can use the easy tees for both times you come to 17 and 18....and seeings how in our events an eagle also counts towards ace pot and all 5 holes are par 4's this may be very advantages to our big arm players and equally important to shorter throwers to maintain a low score.

Also all moms get into event FREE! The moms division will have a prize payout and be eligible for all ctp's/long putt holes and can tee off from all the "easy tee" locations. Happy Mothers Day! .....from all of us wingers & flingers!

There will be NO club event this weekend we will resume our every two weekend schedule 5-11-13...instead we will be doing a WORK PARTY THIS SATURDAY 5-4-13 AT WATERLOO 10 AM START! bring hand tools if ya got em (rakes, forks, shovels, trimmers, etc.)....any league members who come out and put in a couple hours of work will receive 5 points towards the points race and anyone who is in 9th or worse will receive 10 points so spread the word and if yall know anyone interested in joining the league ... more

Boo Ya!

Great turn out for Wing & Fling #4 thanks to all who participated we had 32 peeps out today which makes this our biggest tourney to date...boo ya! We also raised over $50 towards some tee pads at the loo lets keep it up yall we'll be doing it again on march 9th at adair...cali format 27 holes see ya on the green!

Fund Raising!

Wingers & Flingers will be trying to raise money for concrete tee pads at waterloo so starting with wing & fling #4 there will be a raffle for a brand new disc donated in part by Pacific Jack Boots & Gear of albany at every event. Let's hear it for chain gang dgc for puting on a great ace race tourney today and give it up for our event coordinator jesse "warrior" wuori for taking some cash home for a 15 point performance worth a 7th place finish and showing off some guns for wingers & flingers. "chicken dinner" finishing 1st with a no lose sweep of the bracket and climbing to a 3 point lead over a humbled and always dangerous The Carl a.k.a. "heavyweight" who locked in a solid 2nd place finish confirming his status as true contender. The well experienced Waterloo Brandon a.k.a. "ace" rounded out the top spots with a respectable 3rd place finish after battling thru 3 grueling rounds of the loser ... more

Honorable mentions include Mr Brian a.k.a. "old timer" in 5th, T-Ravis a.k.a. "chatter" in 6th, E-Rock a.k.a. "the german" in 7th and Mr Scott a.k.a. "mr potential" in 8th. Thanks to all participants especially those who stuck it out thru the final rounds and provided priceless, and hilarious commentary along with very intuitive and spot on play by play analysis of the final few holes. So this what i want to do here this club is going to host a season of tourneys ending in December of 2013 at the end of which the top 8 players will be invited to a championship weekend, two days of throwing at 4 separate courses{2 a day} to determine a 2013 champion for our club. Only members of our club's league will be eligible for the championship invite. All amateur level players are encouraged to enter our tourneys and if you'd like to join the league you can submit a request to be voted i ... more

The scoring for all players will be as follows, each participant in the tourneys will gain points to be added to a running total based on their finishing position in each tourney, every player will gain points with the most going to 1st and the least going to last. The points will equal the total cash pot of each tourney so the bigger the event the more points you will have a chance to gain.{ex. $50 pot with 10 players_14,10,7,4,4,3,3,2,2,1} In accordance any league member interested in this seasons tour will need to pay an additional $1 on top of each event entry fee. This will go towards the payouts for all 8 players in the championship weekend. So here we go maybe this will work and maybe it wont but we gona give it a shot, wing & fling #1 will start the season this sunday jan 13. everyone who participates is welcome and encouraged to voice your opinions and suggestions here on the club page , you can also check your points total and ranking on our league page as i will post updates after each event. lets have a good season see yall on the green.
