It might be a drive for some of ya... but we'll take support if you can manage (and then you can play club time with us Sunday! Ace pot approaching $100).

NOTICE- by all means necessary, show up to the Newport Recreation Center between 11:30 and 2:30 this Saturday, July 9th, in order to show support for the proposed championship level South Beach Disc Golf Course. We need that course; a truly one-of-a-kind that will take disc golf to the next level in our area. See you there!

Capital city disc golf club is hosting random flip dubs at Bryant tomorrow at 10 am. Not trying to take away from adair dubs (which I really enjoy), but we usually have a good turnout and would enjoy the company of any locals who would like to throw with us. $50 ace pot for non ccdgc members ($100 for members). $6 all in no mulligans.

Amateurs!!!!! I have a great announcement!!!! All Amateur Division winners for the Race will receive a $120 voucher for a pair of shoes from Pacific Jack Boots (No-D-Lay) in Albany. If you want to win some shoes get your buddies!!!!!! To Qualify you must have at least 6 players in your division in all tournaments.
Don't be distracted by Boots in the name. He carries Keen, Vasque, and Merrill. Not to mention a good selection of discs.

I don't know if everyone here knows this but the WDGC has a facebook page. I wish there was just one place for all of the info but it seems we have followed in the footsteps of the tower of babel. It seems we have some hard core golfers who use this site, some soft core golfers that use facebook, and some old core golfers that still use the yahoogroups page. I will try harder to get all of the important info disseminated to the various pages until we all decide on one place.

The club is fairly private on FB as far as that goes. Anything we post there is not directly going to our wall.

A message from our Adair greens keeper.

Good evening disc golfers, I just wanted to send out a reminder that this coming Monday will be the club meeting and we will be voting on the addition to a par 4 placement for hole 8 at Adair. We will be opening the floor for about 15 to 20 minutes for anyone to ask questions and discuss the pin position.
To recap the new placement idea, it will be a par 4 that uses the current fairway that is on hole 8. There will be two additional fairways (one goin ... more

I hear ya TD. luckily no baskets have actually been stolen! They have been knocked over and thrown in the bushes but not stolen! It's weird

Thomas "T" D.   August 13, 2014 at 11:51am

All of your hard work and promoting this course is greatly appreciated by everybody, Kyle. Maybe some game camera's or archers in the tree's would solve your dilema.I hope it gets resolved soon, my friend.

Kyle Rakoz   August 14, 2014 at 5:37pm

We have a game camera if this continues. So far so good after the second news article, the second rebuild, and we're getting a lot of players out there.
