GREAT NEWS!!!!
Last night The SVCS submitted a proposal to the Chesaning PRD on the installation of an 18-hole DGC in Showboat Park. I am very pleased to say that everything went smooth and the PRD was very supportive of the idea. So much so that they are interested in a 24-27 hole course if space permits. We look to begin work immediately and we will keep erveryone up to date.
If you are familiar with the park or have any ideas, do not hesitate to contact Eric Rehmann, Pat Mishler, or myself.

El Nino November
BIG THANKS go out to everyone who showed up to leagues today. There were more than expected so I was a little overwhelmed, thanks for bearing with me. An extra special thanks to Phil Hatch and Jeremy Horton for donating discs for CTP. The SVCS appreciate it and leave an open door for all Flint Town Flyers. The winners on the CTP's were Curt McGill on #4 and Bill B on #7. Ill have all the scores posted by Monday. See everyone next week!

Alterations of the alternates
Due to the recent addition of the GYNORMOUS sign next to the #1 tee pad, the alt tee for that hole will cease to be....But its a nice sign, the village did a great job. Also #7 alt is now being played from the southeast corner of that section of the park, near the parking lot. This stretches the hole to around 450'- 475'. Both ball fields play OB inside the fence. Lastly the #17 alt is to the right of the regular pad, in the trail past the brush. If you are unable to locate any alt tee, just ask the next player you see @ The Pines. They are probably a Chain Smoker!

Circle 5
Job Well Done to Mish, Matt Whyte, and myself for taking 3 of the top five AM3 places at DGLU 101's "Union Strikes for Indy". Also representing in Grand Ledge @ the "Harvest Doubles" were Billy Bad and Jakkob with a top six. Chain Smokin' STATE WIDE!

Alternate Tees
For those of you who dont think The Pines is tricky enough, The SVCS have marked out an alternate set of tee pads for each hole. They are marked with white paint and most are near the regular pads. In most cases the line to the basket has been changed with a few that were just slightly lengthened. We hope to get some flags put down before the snow hits but.............
S.V.C.S. no more?
hey guys. we are in the process of changing the club name. im trying to get the page name changed from Saginaw Valley Chain Smokers to "Whiskey Bend Disc Golf Club". so be aware of this change. we decided on this change because we were looking to do something that is more representative of our geographic location as apposed to the entire Saginaw Valley. if you are curious "Whiskey Bend" or "Whiskey Bend Bayou" refers to a section of the Bad River here in St. Charles. the historical part is a ... more

if you are curious "Whiskey Bend" or "Whiskey Bend Bayou" refers to a section of the Bad River here in St. Charles. the historical part is a little bit longer of a story so i will spare you but it is the one landmark we have in town with a cool name so we are embrassing it.
everything else will remain the same, i.e. tuesday and friday night leagues.
