First Basket in Churchill Park!

Took a little bit of work, but the first pole was set in with the 1 day set concrete mix this afternoon/morning between 11:30am and 12:30pm. The basket will be set up on the pole tomorrow afternoon around 12:00pm-1:00pm. The sign for where the tee pad will be going will also be put into the ground tomorrow (just a 4x4 with some stencil on it for now). Churchill Park FUNdraiser III Cancelled!

Due to the high volume of Ice Bowls, Points Series, Winter Leagues and other various factors, it has been decided to cancel the Churchill Park FUNdraiser III on Sunday February 26, at Churchill Park in Liberty OH.

Sorry to those who planned to attend. We are working on rescheduling now.

Website Updates and Addons

We are currently updating and adding on to our website and therefore club as a whole. In this process we are looking for course media. Churchill Park Course Work Days

We'll be doing some course work this week. If you can make it wed appreciate it, bring gloves. Here's the tentative plan for the days we will be there.

Tuesday 3-5. Work on holes near top of the park. Going to need shovels, rakes, shears.
Wednesday 3-5. Work on holes behind pavilion.
Friday 3-5. Work on the obstacle course hole.

We appreciate all help and welcome all, no matter what you do. :)

Churchill Park Fundraiser Tournament - 10/30/2011

The Trumbull County Disc Golf Association will be having a fundraiser tournament to help with the installation of a Disc Golf course in Churchill Park on Belmont Ave in Liberty OH. We will have portable baskets set up, some in positions for the permanent course and some in just for fun spots. Wait til you see the holes we set up! The Trumbull County Disc Golf Association will be having a fundraiser tournament to help with the installation of a Disc Golf course in Churchill Park on Belmont Ave in Liberty OH. We will have portable baskets set up, some in positions for the permanent course and some in just for fun spots. Wait til you see the holes we set up!

The tournament will have 3 divisions: Advanced, Intermediate and Recreational in order to accommodate all levels of player from experienced to those who have never thrown a disc golf hole ever.

It will cost 20.00 for entry to the tournament. Entry fee includes tournament play, lunch and soda. There will also be CFR Champion Katana fundraiser discs available, side games and raffles including a 50/50 raffle (bring your singles!).

Registration will open at 11:00am and tournament play will begin at 12:00pm. Lunch, raffles and awards will begin just after the tournament round is over at approximately 3:00pm.

So come join us for an afternoon of fun raising and disc golf awareness in a community excited for the arrival of our sport!

Churchill Park, Liberty Ohio

Churchill Park in Liberty OH, just North of Youngstown, has given the green light on installation of an 18 hole course. We are currently doing some walking around as well as some light clearing during the week and some on the weekends.

We have also just put an order in for CFR Champion Katanas varying in weights from 168-175. I will post again when they are available. The artwork for them is pretty sweet. :)
