DNR Needs our help!

The Recreation program director with the Michigan DNR needs a couple of volunteers to help out next week at a conference. It would include teaching people about the sport of disc golf. Here are the dates and times: MRPA Conference - Wednesday and Thursday, February 27th (12:30 - 2:00 and 5-6:30) and 28th (morning only) in Lansing

Fitzgerald Frozen Fundraiser this Saturday!

This is a friendly reminder of CCR's upcoming fundraiser, Sat Feb 23 at Fitzgerald Park in Greand Ledge. The purpose of this Fundraiser to to raise enough money to revamp the course. Give it the updates it needs to be easy to navigate and fun to play for all skill levels. Because this is a FUNdraiser! payouts for all Ams will be used or donated plastic or other merch. Tuesday Ace Race at Dewitt 10/30/12

Tee off 5:30pm. $5 per person. 3 Rounds of the short 9 tees. If no one hits an ace, there will be a CTP for the players with Dots, paying 1st and 2nd in the CTP. (A Dot is hitting metal on your first throw). There will be only ONE throw per player, no upshots or putting allowed. If you do throw an upshot or putt out, you will be penalized from throwing the next hole.

Harvest Doubles this weekend!

Hey girls! This Saturday is the annual Harvest Doubles at Fitzgerald park. Currently there is only one am women team signed up. Come give them some competition! Check it out under the tournament tab on here.

Also, Sunday is mixed doubles. Grab a guy and play Sunday too!

Leagues Start April 9th!

Leagues start next Monday at DeWitt!! See you there! Also, Jr's will play free this year. They will still receive a free disc and bag tag for membership and be eligible for prizes too! I heart the little ones! :)

$25 for season (includes bag tag for new members and free disc!)
OR
$2 weekly fee if not paying for season

We will start the night off with a little practice clinic! I need to get my teaching skills on! :)

Fall Mulligan Open Fundraiser

Thank you to the 7 of us who showed up! We raised almost $200 from that. It was great fun and everyone got paid out! Congrats to Mitch Winters for winning the Experienced division, me winning Intermediate and Leslie for winning the women's division AND the ace pool throw off for $30! Keep your eyes open for an event in December at DeWitt!! I am looking at December 5th or 6th. I am hoping that the next fundraiser we do can be the same style but with a SuperClass frisbee! I'm in search of d ... more

Harvest Doubles

Check out the tournament section on this site. CCR is hosting the annual Harvest Doubles at Fitzgerald Park October 17, and 18th. Check the day for your division if you plan on playing! This is a bring your own partner event. Jeannine and Leslie will be playing? Who's gonna step up and try to beat that team? :) It's a fun day of golf with a partner! Hope to see some of you out there! FYI- there are MIXED division teams on Sunday. So you can bring a guy and play against other mixed teams as well! There will be Pro and Advanced mixed teams.

There may be a change of plans for tonight. I think we will take golfing out of the picture so we can just all hang out and chat. It's gonna be a cold and wet round if we golf and if we don't golf, we can actually all hang out instead of in groups of 4. I hope this sounds good to everyone! And I guess if you do want to golf you can still bring your bag and play a few holes.

US Women's Championships!

For those of you who did not attend....oh man, you missed a really good time! I have some photos posted on my profile if you'd like to look. The courses were amazing, the people were amazing, and we were treated like princesses the whole week! The hotel (AmericInn) general manager, Dave Arango, was the most fabulous host we could ask for! I had an amazing time and I'm sorry if you have to golf with me next week, cuz that's all you will hear about;) Can't wait to see you all at Jay's house!
