Hi to all the lovely disc golf ladies! I received this message the other day and thought I'd post it here:

Subject: tudg.org contact form: women's disc golf in utah
Hi! My name is Emma Rose Hanley, PDGA #42227 and I am a part of the newly resurrected PDGA Women's Committee and am currently scouring the NW region looking for women in Utah who would be interested in helping to promote the goals of the committee, which is to essentially see more women on the course and involved in events ... or even, perhaps, just some women friendly Tournament Directors or organizers of events who are also interested in furthering women's involvement in the sport. If you can help me out please pass on my email address to anyone you can think of, or if you are interested, please send me your email address and I will add you to our growing list of contacts.
Thank you for your time!

2012 SLC Ice Bowl at Fairmont Park
Been doing some counting this morning to see how many $ we raised for the Rescue Mission. Right now we are at $1205.00, Team Utah is adding $100, and I will add $50. For a grand total of $1355.00. If anyone want to add to that total let me know. We also had 250 lb of food. It will be a few days before I take it to the Mission. Thanks for all the help, Thomas Buckner, Brandon Coon, Dave Roper, Rustin Pomeroy, Mike Wills, Justin Jed Kuhnel, and everyone for coming out, It was a good Time!!!

Just a heads up, there is a winter tournament at Lava Hot Springs on February 4th. Its sponsored by the Hot Springs and the Lava Hot Springs Inn. In your player's pack you get a hot pools pass among other stuff. There will be overnight stays and ski passes and such in the prize pile. Thanks to Steven for everything he has done for Disc Golf for Kids' Sake and disc golf in the state of Utah! I could have never done it without him! Is there anyone out there that is willing to be a part of "Helping Children One Throw at a Time"? Will this be the end of Disc Golf for Kids's Sake? Please message me if you are interested...

We have started a women's club for the state, if any of you ladies are interested in joining up. We would like to be able to get the girls that love this game together playing some rounds.

I need help to cover those costs or the payout's gonna be slim pickin's. If you know of someone who could sponsor the event, ask them! I need 15 more baskets. Please let me know ASAP if you have one or more I can use. Also, we need extension cords, let me know if you have some you can part with (make sure to put your name on them). We can only have fires in the park if they are in the above ground fire pits. Let me know if you have one we can use. I would like at least 3.
On Friday, October 14th, I have to set up an entire 18 holes course with s$*!loads of OB to mark. Also, the course is gonna have Halloween stuff up all over. I need some helpers to get the course ready. I need help setting up and taking down both on Friday and Saturday. I need help with registration and running the leaderboard. I need help with the alternate events like CTP's and the Ring of Fire.

I was just filling out the sanctioning info for Huktoberfest and was thinking how much funner it would be to have the event as a two day PDGA event with a night tournament on Saturday night between the rounds rather than a Friday night tournament and a PDGA event on just Saturday. I have been going back and forth so I thought I would put it to a vote. Let me know what you think by Tuesday and whatever gets the most votes wins.

If any of you are wanting to play Bengal Ridge up in Pocatello this year there is a 36 hole tournament on September 10th being held there that is run by me. My brother is also is helping out and says he has been working hard on adding cash and prizes so it should be worth the trip. You can find more info on it at pvdgc.org

I see you have 3 Open women signed up for Solitude this year!! I really wish I could play it. I plan to return to the tourneys next year, hope you all have fun at Solitude.
Altitude Disc Golf August 17, 2011 at 10:24pm
Solitude is still on! Come play a round on Thursday. We will be set up down towards the bottom to the left of hole 18. You can register for the tourney, play one of the greatest courses in Utah, or just hang out and see what 5,000 discs looks like. One change from our last post, we will not be there at 10am, the time has shifted to high noon at the request of Solitude. See you there!
Altitude Disc Golf August 16, 2011 at 11:21am
All right, Full Throttle at Solitude is this weekend. We will be up there with the entire stash on Thursday. We've got a lot more than what we had at the Riverpark Open. We will be up there from 10am to 6pm (or longer if needed). Come play a round on Thursday before the tourney and check out what close to 5000 discs looks like. Biggest selection in Utah with the best prices. Call if you want us to hold anything for you. 801-820-7750.

I hope it's okay to contact you about the Art Dye Disc Golf Course.
I'm new to the sport, and recently played the Art Dye course in American Fork, where I regularly fly RC planes. Seeing all the guys walking into the woods with frisbees is how I got interested.
Anyway, I noticed on almost all of the web sites pertaining to disc golf that our course at Art Dye is heavily criticized as being both terribly messy, and very difficult to navigate for newcomers. I concur with those points. My son has been looking for something to do for his eagle project for scouting, and I suggested doing a clean-up project for the Art Dye course, and laying down new markers for many of the difficult to see launch points.
We got the project approved with AF city and plan on doing the project this Saturday evening, August 6th, starting around 5:30 p.m.
I you know of any way to advertise this to the guys who play that course, it'd be super cool to get some adult help hauling out some of the larger trash heap things in those woods so we can load them on trailers and get that junk out of there. Do you have a contact list of any sort, emails or phone numbers, or a forum where this could be posted? I know my son would be excited to see some frisbee golfers show up to help.
The one thing it'd be nice to have is one of the Team Utah leaders come out and support us, at the very least help us figure out what to do with the launch points that are missing on hole #1 and some of the others that just aren't there any more (due to the city's tractors plowing them under). That'd be sweet.
Please call me when you get this message.
