Hey everyone! I am planning on trying to get up to solitude every day that I can this summer, but if I want to do that I need people to come with me. I can give 4 people a ride up in my car (3 comfortably). If you are interested, I will be 'scheduling' a round here on discgolfscene every time I am going up there, so check out the home page for when I will be playing. If you want to tag along just message me on here or text me my number is on my profile. Add me as a friend if you aren't friends with me/ don't know me and want to come. The rounds will probably be in the late mornings.

Thanks to all who came out to the Farm Friz over the weekend! We had 104 players. That's huge! JZ did and awesome job with the course. FYI. I have 84 spots already filled and only 95 players packs for the Farm Friz. I have 36 spots left so if you are planning on coming and are not signed up yet, I would either get ahold of me today or show up early to register tomorrow.

I just wanted to say, as a fellow tournament director, I had an absolute riot at the Creekside Open. I felt it was well organized and the course looked great! Congrats to Dave Martin for being professional and congrats to Big Wave for making the course look great!

Creekside Park clean-up day is this Saturday April 28th. We needs lots of help to bust this out. We need to remove all downed and dead branches from the park. Mainly 3a and 3b. Trash needs to be picked up and trash cans replaced. I can't do all this work with my hurt shoulder so I really need the help. should be starting about 10am or 11am. Bring gloves, weedwhackers.....

Moab- Base Camp is incredible. I Like Lake Walcott, plus it's only a 3 1/2 hour dive.

I thought I read a article regarding Fairmont Park that they were redoing the whole park, Ampitheater, Dog run and Volley ball courts. I think it was scheduled for 2014, or 2015. Would be great to get in on the planning before they start revamping.

My friend at SLCGOV probably only has jurisdiction over the parks on this list (which unfortunately excludes the county parks, such as Creekside or Crestwood and any other parks further south): http://www.slcclassic.com/publicservices/parks/list.htm . Also the 'Natural Areas' on that list may be off limits because of their ecological significance, but I was wondering about Jordan Park (33.5 acres) or Parley's Historic Nature Park (87 acres). Also the 'Natural Areas' on that list may be off limits because of their ecological significance, but I was wondering about Jordan Park (33.5 acres) or Parley's Historic Nature Park (87 acres). Check out the pictures, they look promising in terms of challenging landscapes, particularly Parley's has a lot of land and challenging topography. I'll check it out myself this weekend. Any other park on that list you think might work as well? I will definitely suggest Fairmont too besides the aforementioned ones.
I have an official meeting with her the morning of Friday April 20th and will know more after that.
Again, don't spread the word beyond this community yet, and please DON'T contact the city yourself at this time! Thanks!!!

You can't sell at the park without a license or a permit.

so i am going on a disc golf road trip this summer, and was wondering what courses are there out there to play? Any suggestions? What are the best courses you've ever played? I honestly don't know where I want to go so im open to any suggestions

Sell hot dogs and cheeseburgers at the course, you could raise $400 in a weekend.

If we really wanted Rich to get busy on those Tee pads we need to raise the cash for the supplies. We kinda brain stormed a PRIDE & BRAGGING RIGHTS TOURNEY to raise the funds. If we could get a few prizes donated for the tourney that would be awesome so we could get more players for more funds. What does everyone think??? Any other money making ideas or ways to obtain the supplies?

So I think that I'm setting a CLEAN-UP date for Saturday the 21st and Sunday the 22nd. More than likely we'll do another CLEAN-up day of Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th. Her is a list of things to be done: Remove all dead branches on the ground and pile them between 9/3 basket and another pile by 4's tee pad. Pick-up all trash. Stain and Polyureathane all benches. Install 5 new benches. Install 1 new sleeve on 15. Pick-up all dog feces on fairways. Move 15's t ... more

Repair broken sleeves.
More than likely I'll be starting about 11:00am, I'll probably be there earlier to play a round before I get started. So all the help I can get it would be appreciated. If you feel like doing work outside of these days 3a &3b have a lot of dead branches that need to be carried out and over towards 4's pad. Thanks guys

To the best of my knowledge Rich isn't. The only thing Rich was contemplating was pouring Tee pads for 3a, 3b, 5 but that is gonna cost about $400.00 in cement and supplies. I know if he can't get it immediatly done before Creekside Open it's not gonna happen for a couple month (at minimum.
